Psychic readings Tarot & magic

What to look for in a Psychic Tarot reading

The lines have blurred between psychic reading & magic, as in ‘performance’. A good psychic should not try & impress you with guesses or statements that could apply to anybody. In my many years of experience, really good psychics can tune in to your life path, in the way that a good therapist can, offering alternative paths that you could follow which may bring you closer to your desired goal. In a really good reading I have found that the reader should bring information or validation that makes the sitter move closer to their desired outcome of their own accord. Many times the sitter is too close to their individual circumstance, stuck with limiting beliefs, or just so used to following the same path that the outcome is inevitable & predictable.

I truly belief that sensitive readers tap in to vibrations just outside of normal experience, this intuition can be utilised to encourage the questioner to empower themselves towards becoming the better, happier, person they know that they want to be.

Finding a reader that resonates with you can be a challenge & I have spent many years developing my site & assembling readers that I am confident provide a caring empowering psychic reading. Only the questioner can measure if the reader has provided useful information that they can take & use to drive themselves forward or lift them selves out of any limiting beliefs.

Many of my readers will zone in on your situation, focussing on areas that you have issues with. They are truly caring & have many years experience in providing readings around whatever the situation the seeker is concerned about, love & relationships, career, personal development. Some people want a reading that provides a general overview & some require a reading simply for entertainment.

Many readers use a variety of different techniques & divination systems to perform their readings, from the more recognised such as Scrying or Crystal ball gazing, Tarot, Runes, intuition, to the more unusual such as ink patterns in water. Whatever technique your reader uses, the reading should focus on you & your situation, rather than just be an explanation of the symbols or the system being used.

The psychic reader should also not just tell you ‘what you want to hear’, some of my readers ‘tell it like it is’, & many people prefer an honest genuine interaction, rather than someone just massaging their ego !.
Good psychic readers will attempt to guide you towards an understanding of how you can make the best of any situation. Truly gifted readers understand they are only a channel & have been introduced to you by the universe, so that they can encourage you to improve your life, usually by indicating areas of your life that you may have not realised are impacting your current situation. Really good psychics should inform you of how events have led you to your current life situation & then offer options on how you can resolve any issues that you have. No good psychic will ever tell you directly what they think you should do.

It is important that when you have found a good psychic reader that you resonate with, that the reader consistently presents the ideas & impressions in terminology that you understand and relate to. Obviously when you are having a psychic reading you should be allowed to ask questions without providing information that will allow a less talented reader to simply feed that information back to you in a different form. As I have said before, a talented psychic knows that they are providing a service sometimes akin to a session of therapy. I am confident all of my chosen readers are caring and professional & have one goal in mind, to leave you feeling comfortable & empowered to make the decisions you need to strive for your goals & move you forward to the next level.

Ethical Psychic readings.

As I said in the intro, there is confusion between ‘magic’ & psychic readings. Recent legislation states that if you are performing a ‘psychic show’, or even offering readings you must state that all readings ‘are for entertainment purposes only’. I did have an issue with this initially, but now less so, I really don’t mind if someone has an issue with Tarot, that is of course their right, I have problems with many aspects of church life that, I believe, impacted my childhood. I have always stated that some of my automated options on my website are to inspire & entertain people, to hopefully spark a thought process. However I also feel that Tarot is as valid a belief system as any other. I have no real problems with any organised religion or personal preference, as long, of course, that this belief doesn’t harm others. I know that there are psychic services that simply tell people what they want to hear & have always steered clear of these, I have always stated that I tell the questioner what the Tarot tells me. I am still learning aspects of the Tarot on a daily basis, I know it is my life’s purpose & a journey that will never end. When someone has a reading, I am as excited as they are to see which of these amazing archetypes are revealed, & I know that this enthusiasm is reflected back to the questioner.

Intuitive Psychic readings.

During the course of giving a reading if something sparks my intuition, I have learnt to trust this information & weave it in to my reading. As long as you stress to the questioner that you are giving a psychic reading based on your impressions this is fine. Anything that comes up with a medical slant, or you feel needs the attention of a legal expert should be considered beyond your capability & referred to the relevant professional. If these guidelines are followed, I believe a psychic reading is as valid as ever, even after centuries of hounding from various quarters.

I am proud to watch my site being visited from all around the globe, I am genuinely touched when someone takes the time to make a positive comment about the resources on offer. I am especially happy when I get positive feedback about one of the readers on my site as I know how important it is for them to know they are appreciated.

I hope you continue to enjoy your visits & as always wish you a magical future !.

Tarot The Moon & the Astrological influence of Pisces

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Dreams The Moon in Tarot & Pisces
The Moon Tarot - Intuition - Relationship readings & the sign of Pisces

The Moon Tarot card is linked to the Astrological sign of Pisces & therefore influenced by the mysterious planet of Neptune. Psychics are fascinated by the Moon Tarot card as it is linked to the subconscious & nocturnal messages received in dreams. Pisces is a complicated sign & combined with the mysterious Moon whenever these arise in a Tarot reading you can be sure that an interesting phase is set to develop. The Moon & Pisces is a powerful combination that drives us to listen to the inner voice & focus on spiritual aspects of our existence. True Pisces appear to live in a slightly detached reality & function on a higher frequency, The Moon though reveals that there is a constant internal struggle that every Pisces needs to overcome on a daily basis. The Moon of course controls the tides & has a huge effect on us as our bodies have such a high composition of water. The Moon therefore affects our intuition & subconscious patterns, Pisces likewise compels us to face our inner thoughts & fears, to triumph over negativity or fear, reach for our dreams & release our true potential.

If you’re a Pisces, you probably have a lot of friends, as you have an accepting and malleable nature that makes it easy for other people to be around you. A Pisces is more likely to go with the flow rather than swim upstream to try to change people or their environments.

Pisces can be more emotional, rather than rational and analytical. They definitely don’t thrive in highly disciplined environments. Nine-to-five jobs are anathema to the Pisces nature.

Who’s the ideal partner for the Pisces. Not the rugged, caveman type, for sure. A relationship with a Pisces will be meeting of the mind and spirit, less so than the body. Pisces are cerebral and not intensely sexual. The need to be courted gently. They are intensely loving and loyal and have a monogamous nature. Don’t abuse this rare creature.

If you’re a Pisces, you may find yourself occasionally being walked over or taken advantage of because of your fluid nature. You may need to find ways to assert yourself that’s in harmony with your psyche. Because you tend to go with the flow and live in the moment, you might have a money-management style that can leave you short of funds at times. You may need to be stricter with yourself to ensure that doesn’t happen. Next time you’re drifting around a department store, just do a quick tally of everything before you get to the cashier. Put at least half of it back, if not more. Chances are it will still be there the next time you have money in your pocket!

The true PIsces personality

The last sign, Pisces, the two dancing fish, is the most deep and sensitive sign of them all.  Ruled by both Jupiter and Neptune, Pisceans are creative and adaptable, but not very organized.  Traditionally, Pisces is considered to be at the highest spiritual plane.

Pisces is the ultimate artist of the Zodiac.  There are more Piscean poets than any other sign, and their empathy for others is legendary.  No other sign is better able to understand another’s pain like Pisces.  At the same time, Pisces is the most free-spirited of all the Signs, too.

The empathy of a Pisces makes them not only artists, but also perfectly suits them for nursing and medical careers.

All of the Water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are sensitive.  But the other two have one thing that Pisceans lack, and that’s the hard outer shell.  Pisces do not have the natural defenses around their sensitivity, and when insulted or hurt, will often ‘swim away’ and hide.  Pisces is very good at withdrawing from the world or turning invisible.

There is a bright side to that invisibility talent, though.  It manifests as an almost chameleon-like ability to fit in.  Pisces will happily join into their mate’s hobby not because they’re interested in the hobby itself, but because learning it allows them to understand their mate better.

Many Pisceans are fascinated with movies and photography.  There’s a natural affinity there, because film like Pisces is very sensitive and picks up everything it sees.

The true Piscean’s sense of style is practically none at all.  Pisces is far more concerned with spiritual enlightenment than on the annoying little detail of whether or not their socks match.  Personal style is trivial and meaningless in a monastery.  Far more important than style is the emotion attached to things; the furniture may not match, but the battered rocking chair that Aunt Edna told her stories from, that’s important, it stays put.

Astrology compatibility

Western Astrology compatibility can be confusing & certainly varies depending on the individuals involved. Pisces is most compatible with Cancer & Scorpio, compatible with Capricorn & Taurus and opposite from Virgo.

The Star Tarot card & the sign of Aquarius

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Star Tarot card & the sign of Aquarius
Tarot the Star & The sign of Aquarius

The Star Tarot the embodiment of Aquarius

Daughter of the Firmament, Dweller between the Waters

Always a welcome card, especially in Love & Relationship Tarot readings, The Star influenced by Aquarius is a powerful Major Arcana Tarot card.

The Sign of Aquarius

Were you born under the sign of Aquarius ?. Well generally what a compassionate and generous person you are !. And did you know that there really is an Age of Aquarius. It wasn’t just a songwriter’s concept in the musical Hair. Just as there are individual zodiac signs, so are the eras of human history divided into 2000-year segments of what’s called the Great Year. We just left the age of Pisces, which began at the beginning of the Christian era until the year 2000. It was a time marked by fluid changes in politics and governments. Pisces, of course, is the sign of the Fish, the symbol of Christianity.

We are now in the age of Aquarius, but only just in the dawn of it, like the song said. All the wonderful, generous characteristics of the Water Bearer are not yet symbolic of humanity as a whole yet, as evidenced by the current turmoil in the Middle East. But there are signs. Remember the Random Acts of Kindness. Perhaps those were a harbinger of the Age of Aquarius.

If YOU are an Aquarian, then you were born between January 20 and February 18. You are a humanitarian and more intelligent than most and given to thoughts of how to make the world a better place. You can be inventive and original, and you’re freedom-loving. You’re generous with your thoughts, whether people are interested or not! You can be eccentric and idiosyncratic, and need a lot of space, but your heart is nearly always in the right place.

Who’s the right partner for the highly intelligent and quirky Aquarian ? , I would say Leo, the opposite sign of the Zodiac. Someone who can appreciate their generous qualities and share their beliefs. Someone who is willing to explore and grow with them. An Aquarian will be happiest with someone who is open-minded, who is warm and understanding and willing to be a helpmate. While that may be the ideal for just about anyone, it’s especially important for an Aquarian to be able to have a partner who will share their passion for creating a better world and their generous nature.

Typical Aquarius personality traits

Aquarius, the water-bearer, is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, and the two planets give Aquarians a unique disposition.  Thanks to Saturn, those born under this sign have a knack for being cool and level-headed.  Uranus, on the other hand, directs them to be unconventional and unique.

Aquarius is a humanitarian, there’s no doubt about that.  The Aquarian likes to make a difference, or even just spend lots of time discussing it, since they are also idealists and dreamers.  They also have a flair for logical thinking, which greatly helps to support their arguments.

Aquarius hates hierarchies, and refuses to be placed on a pedestal.  Their logical, analytical minds are perfect for logic and computer work.  The areas they won’t do well in are ‘fuzzy’ areas, like brokering deals or making sales.  They much prefer the hard and solid world of the computer, or the much more satisfying world of social work.  Nothing annoys them more than the idea of choosing a career solely for the money it offers.

Sagittarius and Aquarius have one thing in common:  a disregard for social manners.  While Sagittarius feels manners are pesky little details he has little patience for, Aquarians think manners are elitist, or perhaps even hypocritical, and deserve to be ignored.  They speak what’s on their mind.

Aquarius has a reputation for being emotionally unstable.  They tend towards sensitivity, with a thin skin and touchy attitude, especially when criticised.  Also, they have a deep-seated fear of rejection.  Many Aquarians find it easier to write their feelings rather than talk about them, and on paper, the sensitive and passionate nature of Aquarius can shine past the cool and calm facade.

Aquarians are allegedly the most attractive sign of the Zodiac.  They also apparently like bizarre colours, weird accents, or provocative styles.  This is the Uranus influence, driving them to be unique.

The Devil in Tarot & the sign of Capricorn

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Lord of the Gates of Matter, Child of the Forces of Time The Devil
The Devil Tarot card

Yes that is me in buffer days ! That outfit took a very long time to make & the bodypaint was a nightmare bigger than any scary Tarot card …

“The inverted Pentagram glowed, behind I saw him. The Devil. I saw the chains & knew all men & all women were beholden to him. The voice returned: ” He is evil incarnate, though only if you allow him the power. Look with purity & truth, see only love beyond time & he will dissolve. Eternal love can be yours”. All fear left me as I felt the love in my heart …”

If you are a Capricorn (December 22 to January 20), you are a personality to be reckoned with, but in a quiet, subtle way. These are people who will achieve whatever goal they set for themselves. They have the grit and determination to see out a project or an objective, no matter how long it takes. They are surprisingly witty, when they allow themselves to be, although they’re not the fiery, flashy kind. A Capricorn will always be on time, will always have positions of responsibility. They make good psychologists because of their ability to listen to short-tempered people or people on a rant. They have an ability to stay calm and reasoned in a disagreement or conflict, even though the other side may be more passionate.

Contrary to Capricorn belief, there is more to life than money. And, although Capricorns may find this hard to accept, too, weekends are for leaving the house, not staying home to count one’s money.

Advice: Pessimism doesn’t look good on anybody. Lighten up, Capricorn.

They are deep thinkers who have good memories and a never-ending intellectual curiosity.  In their relationships, they can have a tendency towards unhappiness. Capricorns set very high standards for themselves, and can be easily disappointed if others don’t set equally high standards.

Professionally, they are strongly attracted to music, although their logical side also makes them excellent bankers. Some famous Capricorns include Anwar Sadat and Martin Luther King. Paul Cezanne and Henri Matisse were also Capricorns. Other famous Capricorns include Richard Nixon, Simone de Beauvoir and Edgar Allen Poe.

After the Age of Aquarius in the zodiac Great Year (approximately 2000-4000 CE) will come the Age of Capricorn. It’s hard to predict what the human condition will be by then. Will we have moved on to other planets and solar systems. If the Age of Aquarius is to be marked by humanitarianism and greater understanding among the people on Earth, (we hope!), what will define the Age of Capricorn. Will we achieve the goals of Aquarius. Many people look towards the new millennium and the beginning of a new era in the Great Year with hope that we will have learned from the mistakes of the past. Hopefully we will continue to learn and in the Age of Capricorn will have evolved to even greater human potential.

For the month of January, the zodiac Earth sign is of course Capricorn and your birthstone is Garnet. It is available in a variety of colors except blue. If you were born in January, you should get a garnet jewelry as a powerful addition to your wardrobe. Capricorn are stable and consistent. While not as compassionate as the water signs, they are nonetheless nurturing. If you are Capricorn Saturday is your best day, ruled by Saturn and Capricorn and its color is Brown. Capricorn lives with the fear of rejection

The Mythology of Capricorn
In ancient Sumeria, the sign of Capricorn was often associated with the planet Saturn and the Sumerian deity Enki. But the full picture of Capricorn as we know it today comes from†the ancient Greeks. In Greek mythology, Cronus was a Titan, and the father of the gods.
Just as he overthrew his own father, Uranos, Cronus knew he would be overthrown by one of his children. So, as each of his and Rhea’s children was born, he swallowed them whole. Hestia, Demeter, Hades, Poseidon, Hera, all of them were swallowed before they could grow up and threaten his rule.
Rhea wanted children to play with, so when Zeus was born, she wrapped a rock in swaddling clothes and gave that to Cronus instead. Zeus was hidden away in a cave and raised by foster parents. There are different versions of the myth. In one version, Zeus was raised by a goat-tending nymph named Amalthea or Adamanthea, and in another, by the goat herself (also named Amalthea), but the one constant through all of them is that Zeus was raised on goat’s milk.
When Zeus was old enough, he released the imprisoned brothers of Cronus–the Giants and the Cyclopes–who gave him power over thunder and lightning. With their help, Zeus was able to overthrow Cronus, and force him to spit out Zeus’ brothers and sisters.
The goat’s horn later became the Horn of Plenty, or Cornucopia. In some versions, the goat’s skin became the Golden Fleece that Jason and the Argonauts searched for.
In thanks for tending him as a baby, Zeus placed Amalthea in the sky, as the constellation Capricornus, the Goat. Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn and is associated with principles such as reality and restrictions, boundaries and rules. The best love match for a Capricorn is Scorpio; they understand each other on a profound spiritual, almost psychic level. Scorpios give their hearts completely and passionately.

Capricorns are said to be persistent, hard workers.  Perhaps this is why they are thought to be workaholics.  They are driven to get the job done no matter how long it takes.  Capricorn (cardinal, earth, universal): suspicious, prudent, cautious.

Earth Element
Astrology: Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo
Jung: sensation
Feel the Earth under our feet, the soil that sustains all forms of life. Look at the power and beauty of the mountains, a symbol of stability and solidity of the earth. Everyday we experience the physical world, we walk on this earth, enjoy
the beauty and bounty of Mother Earth and feel the comfort of being on solid ground.

Associated with the signs Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo, Earth represents the practical, realistic material side of our nature, it seeks to assert a stable, secure and structured environment into which we can function. Feel the earth under your feet, solid and steady as you walk slowly. Earth is patient and reliable. It is solid and strong. To be on solid ground encourages one to seek the practical and most logical answer to a problem.

Earth can be a stabilizing force in a relationship contributing structure and organization to achieve balance and harmony. Earth sustains growth- watch
plant life grow, from an acorn does an oak tree grow; so does man grow from youth to maturity, and realize the immense growth in every facet of life.

The over expression of this element can be seen in a stubborn and rigid  personality, one that strives to remain in the comfort zone in life, afraid to take
risks. It can also be seen by a love of the material side of life, the comforts of material well- being, material worth can be over emphasized and this can
lead to a stressful worrisome situation.

Weakness: attachment, stinginess, materialism, resists change, too much attention to detail and miss the big picture.

Traits of Capricorn

Capricorn is the workhorse of the Zodiac, working his way up the ladder of success, slowly and steadily.

Goats have a strong sense of tradition and structure, and make excellent teachers.  They respect history and believe in passing on an inheritance.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which means that they take the long view on things.  Like the tortoise racing against the hare, they know too well that slow and steady wins the race.î

Capricorns are probably the most far-thinking of all the signs.  Where Sagittarius and Leo are partying for the moment, Capricorn is planning his schedule four years in the future.  But this focus on the future comes with a price.

Capricorn can get so preoccupied with the future that he starts to focus on death, and then becomes easily and deeply depressed.  It’s very easy for a Capricorn to fall into a woe is me attitude, worrying about the never ending series of bad things that always seem to hit them at their most vulnerable.  Thankfully, because of their long-term views, most Goats can overcome this handicap by just putting their head down and working even harder.

Capricorns understand the meaning of sacrifice, because each of those hurdles that force them into the long and slow path to success means sacrificing something to overcome them.

Capricorns tend towards black, which is perfectly suited to their depression.  They also lean to the traditional in home and style and especially food.  Goats tend to eat plain and straightforward meals rather than something exotic.

Capricorns tend to do well in large corporations, where their work ethic allows them to work their way up a long ladder.  Capricorns are also uniquely suited to handling numbers and data.

Finally, because of their traditional outlook and innate teaching skills, Capricorns make excellent parents.  Children give them an heir, someone to pass along the family legacy to, which is one of the core pieces of the Goat’s makeup.

Capricorn is a sign that begins at the end of December. Anyone born from December 23rd through January 20th falls under this sign. You might know an individual who shares your zodiac sign astrology designation who is nothing like you. Im sure that we all can. It is difficult to determine if the character traits are valid or not because they are often vague.

For example, Capricorns are supposed to take a great deal of time in finding their niche in life. This struggle is represented in the goat. The goat takes a long time to climb a mountain but he works consistently and diligently until he reaches his goal. This notion could be applicable to any of the signs of the zodiac sign astrology chart.

Temperance Daughter of the Reconcilers – The Bringer Forth of Life

Temperance the guardian angel controls the magical fluid, the essence that can cleans our ego & allow us to transcend our human weakness. This card always heralds the birth of a new phase of existence that allows those who draw it to carve a calmer path through life, confident that the universe is transpiring to help them achieve all that they desire.

Sagittarians (November 23 – December 21)  have a positive outlook on life, are full of energy, versatility, adventure and eagerness to experience the new and different. They enjoy traveling and exploration; they are ambitious and optimistic, even in the face of disappointment.. Their strongly idealistic natures can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. They are honorable, honest, trustworthy, truthful, generous and sincere, with a passion for justice. They are usually on the side of the underdog in society they will fight for any cause they believe to be just, and are prepared to be rebellious. They balance loyalty with independence.

Sagittarians are usually modest and are often religious, with a strong sense of morality, though they tend to over-emphasise the ethical codes they follow and worship beliefs about God rather than God Himself. This means that, negatively, they regard rigid, unloving, intolerant adherence to ritual and conventional codes as more important than the truths they symbolise or embody. They sometimes pay lip service to religions and political parties in which they have ceased to believe because the outward forms satisfy them, yet they may not hesitate to switch allegiance in politics or change their system of belief if they see personal advantage to themselves in doing so.

Sagittarius is the Archer and many war heroes were born under this sign. There are also many artists and entertainers born under this sign, such as Beethoven, Toulouse-Lautrec and Georges Seurat.  Winston Churchill, baseball legend Ty Cobb and publishing tycoon William Randolph Hearst were all born under the sign of Sagittarius.

In relationships, Sagittarians are reliable and will almost never betray their partners. They are generous and forgiving, although they are prone to temper and outbursts. Professionally, they make excellent teachers and philosophers. Before the invention of the automobile, they were said to be excellent with horses. This would make some sense, as the symbol for Sagittarius is a centaur, half man and half horse.

The Sagittarius personality

If there was a most likely to succeed Zodiac sign, it would likely be Leo.

On the other hand, if there was a most likely to put his foot in his mouth,î that would be Sagittarius.

He doesn’t mean to, of course.  He does mean well.  Sagittarius is the Archer, and every now and then, one of those arrows is totally off target.  They are creatures of the extreme either that arrow will hit perfectly, dead centre, or it will rebound off the target directly back into the archer’s face.

Sagittarius thinks big.  He doesn’t have time or patience for details, and that’s where his weakness lies because such things as social graces and tact can fall into those little details sections.  Likewise, a job that demands attention to detail, like assembly line work, would leave an Archer breaking his bow in impatience and frustration.  Deep down, Sagittarius is the most insecure of all the signs.

The Archers are messy and scruffy, the ‘Oscar Madison’ of the Zodiac.  Ironing shirts and combing hair can easily become one of those little details, too.  Don’t expect a neat and orderly house when there’s a Sagittarius living there.

Like the Centaur that the constellation Sagittarius represents, Archers love to travel.  Even better is traveling in something as rough and ragged as they are, four wheel drive and covered in mud.

Archers do well in entertainment.  They want to be liked, due to that deep insecurity, and they want an audience, because of their high level of pride.

Sagittarius generally leans one of two ways.  One, they are intellectual, thinking big, well read, opinionated, and willing to debate for hours on end though often having a problem admitting when they’re wrong.  Or two, they thrive on athletic competition.  If you want to spot the Sagittarius in the backyard football game, look for the muddiest member of the winning team.

The Death Tarot card & the sign of Scorpio

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Tarot Death card & the Astrological sign of Scorpio
Scorpio Astrology & the Death Tarot card

This card embodies so many things that have shaped my life. I have faced the grim reaper several times in my life, and been present when he took friends of mine on to the next stage of their journey. Scorpio is a challenging & confusing sign, my mother, several lovers & close friends are Scorpios. They have a fascinating duality, love gossip & are generally secretive, if crossed they can bear a grudge for life & yes they do have a sting in their tail !. As for Scorpions, my house when I lived in Turkey had an infestation of Scorpions & I was terrified, thankfully my trusty cats dispatched of them before I became victim to their sting.

Death & the Devil

People are understandably fascinated by the darker cards of the Tarot arcana, so much so that I set up a page to direct people to : Death, the Devil & the scary Tarot cards. They represent challenging aspects of our personality & life challenges that we all must face, and no drawing the Death card doesn’t mean that you will leave your Tarot reading & walk under a bus !. The Death card usually indicates the ending of a challenging situation that allows a more productive, inspiring period to blossom.

Scorpio, the Scorpion (October 24 to November 22), one of the most energetic and powerful signs in the Zodiac. This is an exciting and magnetic personality, very passionate and emotional. They are forceful personalities and can easily be destined for leadership roles. Consider some of the complex famous characters are Scorpios: Hillary Clinton, Pablo Picasso, Dylan Thomas, both Simon AND Garfunkel are Scorpios. Others include the poet Sylvia Plath and Marie Curie. Marie Antoinette was a Scorpio as well.

Scorpios have a better chance of having genius-level IQs than most of the population; they are intense, critical and analytical. They tend to rebel against all conventions and can be political extremists.

The best love match for a Scorpio is Capricorn; they understand each other on a profound spiritual, almost psychic level. Scorpios give their hearts completely and passionately.

Being so gifted, they can find satisfaction in many employments. Their inner intensity can result in the ice-cold self-control and detachment of the surgeon, the concentration of the research scientist, and the heroism of the soldier. Any profession in which analysis, investigation, research, dealing with practicalities, and the solving of mysteries are relevant, can appeal to them. So police and detective work, espionage and counterespionage, the law, physics or psychology may attract them, and they can become masters of the written and spoken word. They may be most persuasive orators and find success as diplomats or preachers and, if they make the Church their profession, their inner intensity can express itself in the spiritual fervour of the mystic.
There is no Age of Scorpio in the astrologers Great Year, because that will be some time in the future. What will characterise that era, we wonder? Will mankind survive that long.

The Scorpio personality

Scorpio is one of the most complex of all the signs.
Scorpio has been known as the Mystic and the Investigator, and the Eagle and the Phoenix have both been associated with this sign.  Scorpios are driven to learn about people, and have an innate ability to see what others can’t.  They are intuitive, passionate, and exciting.  They hate shallow relationships or being taken advantage of, and they are persistent, determined, and focused.
Scorpio has ego.  He knows himself, insults do not phase him.  Outwardly, he’s calm, focused, serene, but inside, he’s boiling.  It’s very difficult to read a Scorpio’s mood by the look on his face, because he has a natural ability to keep the reactions small.  He has ambition, but it’s impossible to tell his goals because they won’t be obvious.  With the ambition, he has the focus and drive to accomplish anything he wants, and when he succeeds, it will seem like it was natural, meant to be, rather than by his will.
More US Presidents have been Scorpio than any other sign.
Don’t ask a Scorpion for advice unless you really want it.  You won’t get false compliments or empty reassurances, you’ll get the cold hard truth.
Scorpio is intensely loyal, and never forgets a favour.  On the other hand, he never forgets being wronged, either.  Hurting a Scorpio is like planting the seeds for your own destruction, because they won’t be satisfied with simply evening the score–he’ll have to outdo the offender.  This is the weakness of the Scorpio–jealousy, resentment, vindictiveness, and obsessiveness are very easy for him to fall victim to.
Scorpio has always been associated with dark things, which is only natural considering their rule by dark, distant Pluto.  But there is a need for someone to show us what is hidden in dark corners of the world and the soul, and Scorpio is the one to do that.

Daughter of the Lord of Truth, The Holder of the Balances

Clarity, Contracts, Victory, Fairness, Action

Those born under the sign of Libra, the Scales (September 24 – October 23), have a wonderful balance of traits. They’re considered to be diplomatic and urbane, romantic and charming, idealistic and peaceable. Even their darker characteristics aren’t so terrible. They can be flirtatious, easily influenced and indecisive. Curiously, Libra is the only sign of the Zodiac represented by an inanimate object, the Scales. Every other sign is represented by an animal or sea creature or person.

Libra is the very first sign of the astrologers’ Great Year, and occurred between 15,000 and 13,000 BCE. It marked the dawn of Man and his expression of his condition beyond basic survival mechanisms. This is the approximate date of the monumental Lascaux cave paintings. It also marks the appearance of humans in the Americas, crossing from the Bering Strait into North America.

Like the scales of justice that represented Libra, this sun sign makes good lawyers and judges. They’re able to stand back and look at situations with a critical, objective eye. They’re among the most civilized of all the signs, with elegance and culture among their traits.

As a partner, Libras are willing to bend over backwards to resolve an issue amicably. The best match for a Libra is a Gemini; they’re least compatible with Capricorns because Capricorns like a little more excitement in life, while Libras prefer a more laid-back existence. You won’t find Libra sitting out all the dances that’s for sure! Very easy going and likeable, you will find Libra’s company a pleasure to enjoy. Even though they are outgoing, they are also surprisingly peaceful and calm of spirit.

Famous Librans include John Lennon and Jenny Lind, the famous Swedish singer. Doris Lessing, Luciano Pavarotti, Oscar Wilde and Johnny Carson are just a few of the Librans who have enriched our lives in the arts.
Libra remains the only sign that is not a person or an animal.

Libra personality

Astrology – Libra
Libras are represented in the Zodiac by the Scales, the symbol of perfect balance.  Because of this, one would think that Libras are balanced, even-tempered, and calm.
One would be wrong.
Yes, Libra can balance, and when she does, those moments are absolute heaven.  But there is a space before the trays of the scales balance–that time when the weights are not even, when a little bit more needs to be added to one side or the other–and Libra represents that, also.  This tends to make Libras a bundle of contradictions, though definitely not as much as Gemini.
Libras, as ruled by Venus, are one of the most attractive signs in the Zodiac.  It’s natural for Libra to be warm and friendly.
Libras will drift from one side to the other. At times, they can take over a conversation, and then just as suddenly turn into the perfect listener.Their inborn fairness make them a perfect mediator, but after a wonderful track record at settling arguments they’ll choose sides and start a fresh argument just for the fun of it.  When they’re balanced, they’re easygoing, diplomatic, and charming.  When they’re not balanced, they are just as easily gullible and resentful.
One of a Libra’s favorite statements will be something similar to “…but on the other hand…”
Libra constantly searches for the real truth.  They enjoy a good debate, and won’t hesitate to take the other side of an argument soley for the sake of the argument.  They cannot stand the idea of unfairness or prejudice, and will not hesitate to challenge someone on broad generalizations–and that’s the Libra’s weakness.
A Libra can be prone to indecision.  Libras hate to make decisions without analyzing all of the possible results, and all of that forethought can be maddening to others, especially those born under more impulsive signs.  That indecision can also lead to the Libra being influenced by others.
Most of all, Libra is a dreamer, who follows her soul wherever it might lead.  The planet Venus rules Libra. Undoubtedly the best love match for Libra is Aries.

The Zodiac sign of Virgo & The Tarot card The Hermit

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Tarot the Hermit & The sign of Virgo

Tarot The meaning of The Hermit card

An old mysterious loner, swathed in dark robes, fixes your gaze through a snowstorm. He finds his way with only a lighted lantern.

Virgo (August 23 to September 22), archetypical Virgos are intelligent and analytical. Virgo can be shy and can be difficult to romance if you are looking for a love match.

The true age of Virgo in the astrologers Great Year took place circa 13000-10750 BCE. At he end of the Ice Age could be why some people refer to Virgo as standoffish & aloof. This period marked the age of the hunter-gatherer culture and clay pottery is thought to have originated around this time according to artefacts from this period. Developed agriculture also began around this time.

Virgo relationships
The accepted romantic match for Virgo is Capricorn and the worst is considered to be Aquarius. Expert astrologers insist that while Virgos can appear relaxed & distant externally, often they are concealing internal emotional turmoil. Virgos tend not to be attention seekers and are often thankful when someone genuinely realises that they would rather be in the background. Thought ful & emotional, Virgos tend to need their personal space more than most to reflect on life & their experiences.

Astrology love matches

Celebrated Virgos include Leonard Bernstein & Mary Godwin Shelley (author of Frankenstein).

The Virgo personality

Accepted as shy, withdrawn and sensitive typically. The Typical Virgo character is complex, intellectual and a total perfectionist.  Virgos are usually reliable, punctual, organised and very self disciplined. These traits combined with the reservedness can give the impression that Virgo is aloof and unconcerned. In reality the true Virgo is as emotionally sensitive as Cancer or even Pisces.

The perceived Virgo shyness can have a negative effect in relationships for Virgo. Understandably this shyness can be misconstrued as coldness, some assume Virgo prefers being a loner, and therefore fail to interact. In reality the true Virgo wants friendship, but is very careful in choosing who they allow past the initial barriers they project. Often Virgo will steer interaction or conversation to world events or anything that prevents them revealing anything personal.

Virgo is powered by Mercury, which means Virgos are ruled by their head, mind & communication as opposed to their emotions. Virgos generally rely on logic and analysis, leading many to the fields of science or any profession that needs analytical structure. Being perfectionists you can be sure any task carried out by Virgo will be performed to the very best of their ability.

Unfortunately this perfectionism can also become the chink in Virgos armour.  Virgos generally are very self critical, beating themselves up over the slightest perceived failure. Obviously this critical perfectionism requires a certain level of understanding from any potential partner. Few suitors penetrate Virgos shyness and aloof personality and they are impossibly drawn to those who expect the very best from them at all times, making down time a near impossibility.

Virgo homes are almost always spotless & incredibly organised. The typical Virgos appearance is reflected by flawlessly polished exterior. A typical Virgo will shun the limelight & much prefer to blend in to the background. Virgo is widely regarded as the most detail focused of all the star signs.

As with all signs obviously not every Virgo practical, shy & driven. However these typical traits are indeed a common factor amongst many who were born under Virgo. Physical ailments accepted to relate to a typical Virgo are stomach & intestinal problems.

Virgos are Earth signs which leads them to love stability & consistency. It is easy for the earth signs to be too rigid in their routines & be stuck in their ways. Earth is the channel that transports the energy of water signs so Virgo can be compassionate & loving & are at the roots of the solidity of the zodiac.

The Zodiac sign Leo & The Tarot Card Strength

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Zodiac sign Leo & The Tarot card Strength
The Strength Tarot card embodies the zodiac element Leo

Tarot – Strength …

Daughter of the Flaming Sword, Leader of the Lion…

Meaning in a Tarot reading :
Power, Energy, Action, Control

Leos (July 23 to August 22) are the big cats of the zodiac. They are caring, generous and imaginative, faithful and committed. They can be territorial and domineering. In Greek mythology, Leo was the lion that was slain by Hercules as the first of his 12 chores. Leos are spontaneous and fearless. The king of beasts, they like to be in control and inevitably make good leaders. Leos are great strategists, intelligent they can be philosophical & love to follow a plan.

The Age of Leo in the astrological Great Year was between 10750 and 8600 BCE. It was characterised by the Stone Age, and the first towns (Jericho).

A group of lions is called a pride, and this characteristic can occasionally mean that the proud Leo is too concerned over losing face. Leos are disciplined and are generally in complete control of their personality.

Leos are warm-hearted and trusting partners, though beware if this trust is crossed. They have a strong sex drive and this can make monogamy a challenge for the dominant Leo.

Leos like to be in the middle of the action and have highly developed egos. Leo can be resentful, even petulant if they’re not the centre of attention. Leos occasionally need to understand that less is more and that they attract enough attention without chasing after it.
Unsurprisingly there are many, many Leos in the arts and film industry. Famously for example Andy Warhol and Neil Armstrong, Roman Polanski and Robert DeNiro.

Which signs are the best and worst matches for the Leo ?. Surprisingly, the best match is Aries, although you would think two headstrong signs like these would clash. It is their strong character and passion that makes them a good pair. The worst sign for Leo is a Virgo. Leos tend to be a little more dominating than is good for a Virgo.

Leo Mythology

Leo owe their existence, and their demise, to the renowned Olympian hero, Hercules.
Hercules was charged with killing the terrifying and huge beast that was the Nemean Lion. None of Hercules’ weapons could penetrate the lion’s skin, so he was finally forced to wrestle it to the ground and strangle it with his bare hands, in an incredible show of Strength. This is obviously echoed in the control that is traditionally shown over the Lion in the Strength Tarot card.

The astrology sign of Leo

The lion is king of the jungle, therefore Leo is the king of the Zodiac.  Leo is a fire sign, falling right in the hottest part of the summer at the centre of the year, this corresponds to the trait that Leo always loves to be the centre of attention.

Leo is a born leader, easygoing and optimistic. They tend to face challenges as a lion approaches the hunt, spotting his prey, stalking, and eventually pouncing.  Leos tend to be laser focused on their goals and desires.

Leo can be generous, with a heart the size of a lion. They love to share.  They can be the life of any social gathering, always prepared to break the ice or create a party atmosphere.

Leos like to make a grand gesture, with special attention to their appearance and material possessions like cars.  Leos crave attention, and the things they own usually reflect this.

Leos can occasionally appear standoffish, or even arrogant. Natural leaders, Leos can sometimes expect those around them to perform all of the mundane tasks that they feel are beneath them. From a young age Leos expect to take the lead, and will vigorously fight for that position when challenged. Leos live by a well rehearsed routine & are resilient to change, as the leader they can occasionally get caught up in the details & are perfectionists that expect the best.

In the workplace all of these traits contribute to the career of a Leo.  Ambition makes it hard for them to follow a career path, they expect to be able to jump several rungs of the career ladder at once. Leos impatience to take the lead can often see Leo motivated to set up their own business.

Leo loves to be in front of people. They can have a highly developed sense of fun and enjoy performing or presenting in any form.

Astrology Cancer & The Chariot Tarot

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Tarot The Chariot - Astrology Cancer
The influence of Cancer in The Tarot card The Chariot

My Warrior of my Chariot Tarot card commands his war Chariot drawn by two sphinxes, one white & one black. Notice the reins he holds are not controlling the course of his journey. Can he take control over his destiny ?.

The sign of Cancer (June 22 – July 22) has very little to do with the famous crustacean, in astrology. It’s hard to pin down exactly what defines the Cancer personality, though the home loving stereotype does regularly appear to be correct in my experience. The ancient Egyptians saw Cancer as the sacred scarab. This symbol of resurrection and immortality was often placed in the form of a carving in the body where the heart had been, during mummification.

Cancers are usually imaginative and intuitive. They make great home-makers, interior designers and artists. They generally avoid risk, and will take the time to consider all sorts of outcomes and possibilities before embarking on a new project. Famously sympathetic and fiercely protective of those around them. They will help out using al of their experience, generally not impulsive Cancer will temper their generosity with calculated risks in all situations. Undoubtedly emotional and loving, great family home & social people, Cancerians are one of the signs that undoubtedly resonate love in all of the zodiac.

In the Zodiac Great Year, the Age of Cancer fell between 8600 and 6450 BCE. It was a time characterised by the worship of mother goddesses, there are definite parallels to the Empress in Tarot. During this period alcohol fermentation was discovered and people began to use copper.

Cancers are erudite & usually talented in writing or problem solving due to their ability to think and analyse independently what they absorb from their environment. Cancerians are good in public service, and acting capacities. Cancers are good providers because they strive to provide comfort and the best that life can offer. Cancers can spend a long time considering which option will have the best outcome and this can rile their friends & families. Cancers tend not to be good at taking direct orders, so positions where they are not in control may not sit well with our Cancerian friends.

Famous Cancers represent a wide spectrum of incredible talent. They include the Duke of Windsor and seminal choreographer Bob Fosse, Sylvester Stallone, the Dalai Lama, hilarious Robin Williams and author Ernest Hemingway.

The best partner for Cancer is I believe stoic Taurus, while the sign with the least potential for a happy relationship with Cancer, based on my experience, is Aries.

The Cancerian personality

Cancer is symbolised by the Crab, because the Crab was understood to carry his world on his back. Indeed, the home is of tantamount importance to Cancer.

Those born under Cancer are heavily focused on home comforts. Cancers are typically the domestic leaders of the Zodiac, and would be the first to know how to create a harmonious environment. Unfortunately, they also have a reputation as hoarders, because they can attach emotions to their material possessions.  Every old photo can become a cherished heirloom because of the memories associated with it.

Cancers are super sensitive and caring.   Only watery Pisces even comes close to the sensitivity of Cancer.   Crabs are the most honourable of companions, always coming to the aid of their loved ones, ready to help in any situation.

The crab’s default security response is to retract in to their shell. Cancers have a reputation for being tough and unfeeling because they keep their emotions hidden for their own protection, before they are totally sure of those around them. They can be confused that people can’t see through their retentive layer to the deeply emotional person hidden behind.

Cancers have a tendency to be anxious over details, moody, or even prone to depression, but this can be helped with exercise. Yes they have an undoubted affinity for the home, and many cancers enjoy creative hobbies, and of course home improvements.

They care deeply about people, Cancers are most at home in a path where they can help people in some form. Repetitive jobs are really not the answer for Cancerians. Cancers, with their innate intuitive ability at knowing what people need and feel, tend to make very good therapists.   However, they tend to build on existing ideas, rather than creating their own, so they don’t make good trailblazers.

The water sign of Cancer (June 22 to July22), is characterised by the phrase still waters run deep. Yes they are emotional and sensitive, given to deep thoughts and conversations. Just as water can blur an image or hide secrets within its depths, so do Water signs have secretive emotions and abilities.  The Water signs are most compatible with Earth signs.

The sign of Gemini – Tarot the Lovers

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Lovers Tarot card embodies the zodiac element Gemini
The Lovers card corresponds to the sign of Gemini

The sign of Gemini – Tarot – The Lovers …
Children of the Voice Divine, Oracles of the Mighty Gods…
Gemini is the twin sign that is intertwined with the Lovers Tarot archetype.
The Lovers tarot card depicts a young gorgeous man and woman; intertwined and naked. They appear as Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden; the Tree of Life is evident behind Adam and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil appears behind Eve, a Serpent lurks, menacingly.

If the Lovers in a Tarot spread indicates a relationship for you, if you are very lucky then it could develop in to a very powerful twin soul bond, The Lovers in the right setting can indicate the arrival of a soulmate.

Love & the Tarot
It is every individual souls responsibility to become the best incarnation of themselves that they can be. When we truly love ourselves we radiate a frequency that inevitably attracts our true love, our soulmate. Even then we must understand that by continuing to radiate love eventually our entire universe will move beyond the challenges we face & humanity can move ahead to the next phase of our development. The Fools journey through the Major Arcana is a clear path that encourages us to objectively look honestly at our personality & strive to be become better in all aspects of our existence.

Gemini represents the twins Castor and Polydeuces. I have studied & worked with twins, I find them fascinating, they strive to be individuals but will always have an incredible bond. One set I knew had their own language & really did exist in their own little world. Another set I knew decided to move to opposite sides of the globe, I predicted that their connection would pull them back together & I think that is set to happen much sooner than they thought, unlike ‘normal’ siblings, twins tend to thrive when together. A person born under the sign of Gemini (May 22 – June 21) can sometimes exhibit behaviour as if they are twins, trapped in one body, sometimes Geminis can almost exhibit ‘schizophrenic’ behaviours. Geminis can be contradictory, people with dualities to their nature that can confuse all but their closest friends, families and lovers. They love versatility and change, but can be flighty and mutable to create interest in their lives. They don’t like rigidity & routine. Problem solving can be difficult for them and they are famous for changing their minds.

In the Zodiac Great Year, the Age of Gemini occurred from about 6450-4300 BCE. It was a time when writing and accounting systems were developed and humans were beginning to trade with one another.

About Gemini

Geminis are generally kind, affectionate and generous, so long as this doesn’t impact their own lives and comfort systems too much. They have a thirst for knowledge and love all forms of challenge. They absorb new ideas or trends quickly. They have an analytical side and can see both points of view in any discussion.

If you’re a Gemini, you have some interesting company in your zodiac sign. Some famous Geminis include President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. Henry Kissinger and Paul McCartney. Many members of royal families were born under the sign of Gemini, too. Queen Victoria, King George V and Prince William were or are Geminis.

Boredom is a deal breaker for Geminis and they can easily lose their cool looking for excitement. Geminis can be artistic, creative and active. They should drive to have hobbies & channels for all this energy like artistic endeavours, exercise or competitive sports. Geminis are always looking for new and interesting experiences, they can tend to overindulge and are prone to having addictive personalities or ‘burning the candle at both ends’. Geminis need to remember to pace themselves or they are always in danger of burning themselves out.

Gemini personalities
Gemini are by definition “Mercurial” and exhibit rapid and unpredictable changes of mood. By definition Gemini embodies both sides of human nature, the light and the dark, the happy and the sad, this duality usually manifests in every aspect of the life of a true Gemini.
Gemini can change their moods and attitudes in an instant, & are confused when those around them find this challenging. One instant, they are sociable and happy; the next, petulant and withdrawn. They tend to be frustrated with people who are people pleasers, because they prefer open personalities. If you are a friend or lover of a Gemini you simply have to accept these mood swings, they are intrinsic to the true Gemini personality.
A Gemini is a multi tasker. They are at least as comfortable multi-tasking than most people are with focusing on a single project. In fact, Geminis quickly get bored handling mundane tasks.
With their gifts for communication and imagination, Gemini are natural storytellers. They have a keen sense of humour, they tend to lack patience & If they’re not careful, their tendencies towards mood swings and restlessness can alienate people.
The easiest way to upset a Gemini is to force them in to a routine. Like a caged wild animal, they will not handle the situation well at all. Gemini don’t like to be chained to the everyday world; they need to soar and dream, embracing new stimulating ideas wherever possible.

Gemini is an air sign. These are the idea signs, the air that breathes a spark into a flame. They can’t be limited. They require freedom of movement and thought.

If you build a relationship with a Gemini, though challenging, it can ultimately be very rewarding & intense. Just remember the duality of thought & deed, plus changefullness of moods and learn to enjoy the unpredictability.

The Sign of Taurus, Tarot The Hierophant

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Taurus in Tarot, The Hierophant
The Sign of Taurus is embodied in the Hierophant of Tarot – Magus of the Eternal Gods.  The Hierophant, like the High Priestess, is seated between two pillars. The Hierophant is depicted as either a man or a woman but always represents the spiritual side of masculinity with a Taurus influence. The pillars represent masculine & feminine, day & night, balance between opposing forces or elements.. The Hierophant Tarot card corresponds to Wisdom, Spirituality, Harmony, Spirit, Ceremony & Patience.
About Taurus
Think about characteristics of a Bull other than the cliché that Taureans are bull-headed. Taureans (April 21 to May 21) are typically solid, steadfast, loyal, grounded. They are stable and considered in their approach to life. They are usually quietly intelligent without being overly intellectual. They are not likely to strike out for the unknown, but will prefer to build on tried & tested experience.  Taureans are generally patient, reliable and loving.
In the workplace, Taureans are good technically, good with their hands & able to oversee situations. You can trust a Taurus; they make good managers and enthusiastic bosses. They are always good in careers that require patience and structure. These are fields in which you can be creative, but within a framework of stable practices and science. Taureans are good workers and not giving to goofing off. Because theyíre not big risk-takers, they can be trusted with the company finances and are completely reliable and trustworthy.
In the zodiac Great Year, the Age of Taurus took place approximately 4300-2150 BCE which witnessed the rise of Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations. This was the era of the Bronze age in Greece, rise of Minoan and Mycenaean cultures. This was a period characterized by the growth of agriculture, and the building of pyramids and megaliths. Bull cults were prevalent in Assyria, Egypt, Crete.
Famous Taureans have excelled in all walks of life. They include Socrates, George Lucas, George Carlin, Martha Graham and Margot Fonteyn, Audrey Hepburn and Jerry Seinfeld.
As a partner or lover, Taureans are faithful and home-loving, patient parents. Not given to sexual experimentation. Taureans are grounded in practicality. Taurus types are typically stable and like harmony. They love animals, children and being at one with nature. Taurus can be sporty, love adventure and enjoying nature in general.
Every positive character trait has another aspect, and in the Taurean, this reliability and steadfastness can sometimes negatively manifest as jealousy and obstinacy. Fortunately, Taurus are also highly intelligent and can soon reason their way out of the occasional dark mental space and depression.
The Taurus Personality
Taurus, the second sign of the Zodiac, is symbolised by the Bull. Built on security and stability, the Taurus is the most faithful of all the zodiac signs.
Usually strong, intense, the most introverted of all the signs, Taurus is likely to be cautious and controlled, especially around new acquaintances. Those born under Taurus are very practical and focused, well grounded and in touch with nature & the elements. They take things as they come, without unduly worrying or stressing. They have strong built in values, and tend to think long and hard about their decisions. Once they’ve made those decisions, it’s easier to move mountains than to change the mind of a Taurus.
Nothing personifies Taurus more than the Greek myth of the Minotaur, or bull-headed man, when it comes to stubbornness. Once those hooves are dug in, Taurus is just not going to move. But the Taurus will probably deny that they’re being stubborn; they prefer to call it “sensible.” Or “patient.”
Normally calm and reliable, Taurus is content to be left alone, with a very long fuse….but if that fuse ever burns, watch out. Taurus has a temper. Push him to his limits, and the phrase “bull in a china shop” takes on a whole new meaning. Taurus very seldom gets mad, but when they do, they don’t just get a little annoyed, they get furious. It may take weeks for the dust to clear after a Taurus tantrum.
Taurus likes to build his fortune, slowly and steadily; he loves money and material possessions, though he isn’t stingy. He can be very generous, especially to friends and family.
Strong, dependable, and peaceful,Taurus is like a rock in the Zodiac, with his patience and calm. He can be the most stable and trustworthy of all the signs…just don’t try to rush him into anything. Or ask him to change his mind.
People of the Element of Earth
Unlike the position of the Earth in our solar system, the element of earth lies dead centre in the Chinese astrological charts. This is probably because ancients believed the Earth was the centre of the universe and all celestial bodies circled our planet.
People born under the element of Earth seem to feel the universe revolves around them as well. Self centred, ambitious and grounded, earth people are used to getting what they want and achieving their goals. Failure is foreign to them.
Of course, being the centre of the universe brings on responsibility to those who serve you. And, the earth element handles this charge with grace and ease. Earth people are patient, and thoughtful. They take the time to care for those around them, and they are skilled at looking at a situation and evaluating what is needed.
Goals are achieved through hard work and determination. Earth people know how to plan for the long term and they are stable enough to stick with the plan to its success.
The stubbornness of the earth element is a double-edged sword, giving those born under its rule the determination to follow through when things are tough, and the audacity to defend their point, even when they are wrong.
Earth people understand that when you rule the universe you have an obligation to serve it as well. Those under this element enjoy service work and are likely to take on jobs where they are helping others. Good earth element jobs include teachers and therapists.
Those with the earth element tend to have difficulties with the stomach and spleen. Careful attention to diet is very important, as is chewing food carefully. Anything an earth person can do to enhance digestion will be a great aid to maintaining optimal health.
This general overview of Taurus & the earth signs should give you a good idea of what to expect in a typical Taurean, though of course each individual will have there own specific character traits dependent on their individual chart.

Unsurprisingly throughout March & April I have given many Birthday readings. Also my Free Birthday Tarot reading has seen a jump in popularity. 2012 is a great year & especially for those born under the sign of Aries ( such as myself ). I know that 2012 is going to shake many Aries out of their comfort zone & enable them to move closer toward their authentic existence. Never very good with boredom, those Aries that find themselves in an un-fulfilling career or any form of relationship will begin to get itchy feet & feel that it is really time to embrace any opportunity that comes their way. If you are an Aries think carefully of where you want this year to lead you, and then start making plans to materialise those changes.

Aries in Tarot

The Sign of Aries is embodied in the Emperor of Tarot – Son of the Morning, Chief among the Mighty.  The crowned Emperor sits on his marbled cubic throne featuring ram’s head carvings, symbolising Aries. The Emperor Tarot card corresponds to Opportunity, Action, Leadership, Ego & Independence.

About Aries

Aries the Ram (March 21 to April 20) is called the first sign of the Zodiac. Obviously in the West we think of the beginning of the year as January, because that’s the start of the new calendar year. This however is the Zodiac year, and is governed by matters more celestial than the progression of dates!. March 21 is the Spring equinox, which signifies the beginning of the Zodiac year. And when you think about it, this makes sense. Spring is the time of renewal and rebirth, when the Earth wakes from Winter.

If you are born under Aries, you can tend to have the same traits as a young ram. Enthusiastic, adventurous, forthright and energetic. You can typically be courageous and confident. You could be a little impulsive though, right. Maybe something of a daredevil. Where would the world be though, without daredevils, willing to strike out and do something completely different ?. Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most famous Aries in history. Other famous Arians, such as Thomas Jefferson, Booker T. Washington, Francis Ford Coppola and Marlon Brando. None of them afraid to break new ground; all of them changed their world or their chosen fields quite dramatically.

People born under the Aries sign tend to be passionate lovers and intense friends. They risk driving people away with their intensity & forthright attitude, they need partners that can match them without fuelling the fire and creating explosive situations. In my experience the perfect astrological partner for an Aries is Libra ( as is mine ! ), You can find more Astrological compatibility on my Chinese Astrology page.

Arians are creative & driven, they love to explorer all the options life has to offer. This isn’t to say that people born under the sign of the Ram are all action, though. They have a softer, lamb-like side as well and if you’re an Aries, make sure you draw on this side of yourself as well when dealing with other people. Aries may struggle in certain careers, because they are an idea person and the person to get things started rather than finish them up, many unfinished projects tend to follow an Aries !. Aries should surround themselves with people who can enhance their traits and they are certain to succeed.

The Aries Personality

Aries is the first symbol of the Zodiac, the Ram. This sign covers the Equinox, March 21st, and the beginning of Spring. And Spring–with it’s energy of rebirth, as winter ends and flowers bloom, is the perfect example of energetic and freedom-loving Aries.
Aries people are headstrong, like Aries the Ram, and fiery like their planet, Mars. They go after what they want. With their confidence and spirit, they make natural pioneers, and unstoppable enemies in any struggle.

People born under Aries are confident, intelligent, and enthusiastic. They are driven to excel and achieve, and like nothing better than to gather and inspire a team to follow them on their quest. They look forward, and don’t dwell on the past.††They are also†one of the most extroverted of all the signs.
On the negative side, Aries must be careful of their weaknesses, selfishness, impatience, impulsiveness. Aries will fight for what he believes in, but he will also fight to be “the alpha male,” the leader of the pack. They also tend to get caught up in starting projects without finishing them. Never expect patience, tact, or diplomacy from an Aries, and be careful of their quick temper. They can get so caught up in the quest that they don’t realise the foolhardy mistakes they’re about to make.
Aries make excellent entrepreneurs; it’s a natural talent for someone with such a strong focus on initiative and leadership. They thrive on challenges and love to excel and win. They don’t react well when forced to wait, and can have trouble accepting advice.
Aries is the first sign, the one that leads the Zodiac, and like their sign, those born Aries like to lead as well. They would never be content leaving their adventurous quest for a quiet and dull desk job.

People of the Element of Fire

Fire is both destructive and nourishing. On a cold winter day, there is nothing more calming to the soul than curling up by a roaring fire with a good book or cherished love one. On the other side, there is no other force on earth more destructive than a raging, out of control fire. Fire nourishes the human body by providing us heat to cook our food and light with which to see. And, there is nothing more painful than having a part of your body taken by fire or flame.

Fire signs draw attention to themselves.  Those under the influence of Fire have charm and charge on their side.  They have an infectious enthusiasm that makes them natural leaders, so people just can’t help but to follow them.

They take the role of leader seriously, and do it well. For fire people, managing others comes naturally. They are decisive, compassionate, understanding yet firm.

Fire people make excellent entrepreneurs. They possess the determination, drive and plain stubbornness needed to make a new endeavour thrive in today’s tough business world.

Fire people have an innate ability to see through all of the confusing distractions right to heart of the matter. And, they possess the strength and determination to successfully navigate themselves and their team through any and all obstacles. What they can not finesse around, they will burn though.

Those born to the fire element tend to be restless. They need excitement and novelty to be happy. While they are leaders, they find relationships difficult because fire often lacks the stability needed to sustain close relationships.

Fire rules the circulatory system and the heart, making these top areas of concern. Fire people should take special care to maintain these systems. Carve out time for exercise and meditation each day and pay attention to diet. Fire people tend to hold their stress and so it is important to engage in recreational activities the person finds relaxing.

Love Horoscopes - Relationships

Horoscopes – Are you a match ?

One of the major reasons people check their horoscopes & Astrology is partnership compatibility.  Surely if, as some people believe, our personality is clearly laid out by our astrological sign, then it should be pretty easy to tell whether or not that person is going to be compatible.

Unfortunately, It’s not as simple as that, of course.  Other factors in our charts can influence those basic rules, or even counter them entirely.  Just because a person falls within a sign does not mean they’re going to be typical of the sign, or a perfect match for the general depiction of that sign.    Still, it’s fun and interesting to check for compatibility through a horoscope. You can use Western Astrology or you can check your Chinese Astrology compatibility to see which animal element corresponds to you & your partner. You can click here to check your Chinese Horoscope compatibility.

Or for Western Astrology Click here to check your Horoscope Love Compatibility

As a general rule, your ‘ideal match’ is likely to be at the opposite side of the Zodiac from you.  That is, Aries with Libra ( my partnership match & yes works for me !, Taurus with Scorpio, Cancer with Capricorn, Leo with Aquarius, Virgo with Pisces, Sagittarius with Gemini.  Those signs opposing each other across the Zodiac tend to harmonise & complement each other, supporting each others strengths and countering each others weaknesses’ provided, of course, that the personality differences are considered & accomodated.

As an example, Cancer has a very strong home / family instinct.  Cancers strive to have a strong and secure home life.  This mindset is likely to confuse several other signs, like fiery Aries or travel-inspired Sagittarius.  Capricorn, however, has a similar attitude towards home and in general, the two should get along just fine, provided, of course, the Cancer could learn to cope with the Capricorns mood swings !.

The signs that definitely do not get along are the ones that have a core difference.  Sagittarius is known for traveling, and would drive the home centred Cancer to distraction.  Detail focused and critical Virgo would grate on the nerves of self-centered and impetuos Aries.  A typically bright and cheerful Libra would probably never be able to handle a life darkened by shady, mysterious Scorpio.

Although these are generalisations, I am constantly surprised when I see a blissfully happy couple & then find out that they are Astrologically a perfect match.

Remember you can find my Daily Weekly & Monthly Horoscopes at Astromara

The stars can provide much insight about ourselves, including how, when, and with whom we are most likely to fall in love. Of course, astrology is not destiny, so while the one you love may not be a classic match for you in astrological terms, that doesn’t mean all is lost. By understanding the universal forces that attract you to your lover, you can learn how to make any relationship work, and better understand your own self in the process.

First consider how accurate your own horoscope is. There are similarities among many of them, but find the resource that resonates with you. You can use that same resource to do a little research on your intended partner. You certainly don’t have to reject someone because they are a Water sign and you’re a Fire sign. It can certainly provide some insight into why you two clash, or why you think he’s a wet blanket sometimes.

You can really go into detail about the ideal zodiac mate for you, but it’s hard enough to find someone, isn’t it. So don’t walk away from that Water or Earth person based on Astrological differences. Use your knowledge to understand them. Maybe you need to borrow some tips from Air or Earth to help manage the communications between the two of you or to help resolve conflicts.

There are many really good books and Web pages to help you discover the details of any zodiac match. Do a little research, make it fun!.  What ís your sign can be a cliché, but if you deliver the line in the right way, it can also be really a good ice breaker. As you learn more why not try & guess their sign, always impressive if you are right !. If you’re a Virgo, and you’re introduced to, say, a Libra, tell him he’s got his work cut out for him. Everyone loves a challenge and it’s an easy way to flirt and start to get to know someone.

I hope the stars deliver much love in to your life !

Tarot, Looking for Love

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Lovers Tarot, Are you looking for Love
                            The Lovers Tarot card

Looking for Love ?

Many people who consult me are looking for love. But what exactly does it mean to be looking for love? What follows are some of my musings about love and what it means.

What does it mean to be looking for love?

What kind of love are you looking for and from whom. What I mean is that there are all kinds of love. The love you feel for your significant other, the unconditional love you get from your kids, the love you feel for a certain kind of food (chocolate?), or even the love that comes from having a pet.

Let’s face it, looking for love can mean all sorts of things to different people. But if your looking for the love of another person to share your life with, then what do you do?

You can go out with friends and hit the bars, but bars are notoriously bad places to meet the love of your life ( although that is where surprisingly I met the love of my life!.) Sure, you may meet someone and hit it off, but as most of us know picking up someone in a bar and living in a state of happy bliss the rest of your life with them isn’t very realistic. Now if your looking for someone to just have some fun with maybe the bar route is a good idea.

One of my favorites is the blind date. These are usually set up for you by friends, co-workers, family members, etc. The problem here is what they may think is a good match is probably not what you are looking for. Conversely though sometimes YOU don’t know what you are looking for !. My life partner broke the mould of what I thought I was looking for, all of my true friends realised immediately that this was a life changing meeting.  Usually though nobody really knows what you are looking for other than you. Sure, they say you will like this person, or you two will get along just fine, but until you meet them you just don’t know, and that can be kind of scary.

Of course there is the old tried and true just meet someone doing something you like because at least then you share that in common. This isn’t necessarily true if you meet them at the grocery store because we all need to eat. If you’re both reaching for the same frozen pizza you could say you have that in common, but is that something to base a relationship off of ?.

If your looking for love and I mean really looking then you need to find someone that you can share your every want and need and thought and desire with. Someone compatible with who you are as a person. In the past this was largely a hit and miss proposition, but with the advent of online dating services it has become much easier to find that special someone.

If you think about it an online date starts out as a blind date but you actually get to know the person before you ever meet them. You are also matched up with people who fit the description of the type of person you would be most compatible with, which takes the stress out of meeting someone who shares more than one thing in common with you. You know, just because you meet someone at the gym doesn’t mean that they share your same interests other than being in shape.

The online dating world provides a simple way for those who are looking for love to find it. No more trying to meet someone on your own or through friends and co-workers. No more blind dates with someone your best friend thinks you’ll hit it off with. A dating service is about the closest you can get to finding the real love of your life without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. Though sometimes meeting up with Jim from your friend’s office may well be a better proposition.

As always though, love yourself first & the rest will follow !

Introducing a new partner to your children

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

[wowslider id="4"]

Loving again after divorce, introducing your children to your new partner

Sometimes the Universe throws us a curveball. I have just recently watched & howled with laughter ( again ! ) at a film I love, Mrs Doubtfire. A fabulous film about how divorce or seperation affects the children in a relationship that breaks down. I know that some people find Robin Williams too much, but I love this film. I was, however, a little perturbed why it was overwhelming my mind during a recent reading. I had agreed to give a reading at short notice & was reading for a very well presented lady who wasn’t about to give anything away. Every time I turned a card another hilarious moment from the movie flooded my mind. Normally in this circumstance I apologise & explain that I am just not picking up anything of value & can’t continue. However on this occasion, I took my chance. Steeling the very well presented businesswoman in the eye I took a chance. ” Has a relationship recently broken down involving a laid back partner that has impacted children ?”. Her smile cracked, I knew I was right. The next cards turned were the Fool, the Page of Cups & the Page of Wands. ” He is a bit of a joker, one child, a girl artistic, creative. A boy distant, dreamy & emotional ? “. Bam ! There it was on the table, Thank You Mrs Doubtfire a great reading indeed, even if I say so myself !.

If a relationship breaks down & you meet someone else, how do you go about :

Introducing a new partner to your children

So, your kids have decided that they do not want you to go on a date. They are not happy with your decision. The children may have feelings of abandonment or fears of losing you to another person. One of the easiest ways that you can reassure your kids and help them cope is by telling them that you are going to be there for them and that they are not going to lose you.

Your actions should convey this message as well. You want to make your kids as comfortable and calm as possible. The more stressed your children are, the less your chances will be for successful dating. When your children are comfortable and secure, they will fight you much less and in some cases they will even give you their blessings about dating.

In most cases children will fight for their parent is attention. This is due to the fact that they believe since they had you first they should be able to keep you all to themselves and not have to share you with someone else. You are theirs and you belong to them. If you make your children feel secure and let them know that they are just sharing you and that they are not losing you to another person, you can help to resolve the situation easily and calmly. Make it easy for your child to understand. Compare it to them sharing a toy or special item with a friend. They are much more likely to respond appropriately if they fully understand what is going on and can process it.

Let the child know that you need to spend time with an adult friend doing things as adults. Oftentimes children will want to tag along. You need to be very clear about the fact that this is adult time and not children. Let them know that there will be times that you can do things with them and that they will be invited along. However, make sure that they also know that there will be times that are spent away from them and solely in the company of another adult. Again, make things as easy and simple to understand as possible.

As your relationship progresses, you will want to start including your kids in things that you do with your mate. This is important for a variety of reasons. You want to make sure that your kids are a part of the life and the relationship. You do not want them to feel left out. You also get a chance to see how the person that you are dating deals with your kids. This can be a huge factor in where the relationship goes in the future. You do not want to be with someone that does not treat your children properly.

Talk with your child about their thoughts and feelings after the first time that they spend time with you and your mate. They will more than likely have a wide range of emotions and feelings. Process all of their emotions with them and talk about all of them. If you find that your child is unhappy or does not like your date, find out what the reasoning for this is.

Learn about all that your child is feeling and why. This will help you to deal with the situation and work towards the greatest harmony between everyone involved.

As always, I wish you only the best .. Paul

Tarot Create your reality – Empower those who consult you

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

[wowslider id=”3″]
Every day I meet people who come to me for advice & are stuck in a loop of existence. What do I mean by that ? They simply do the same things, think the same thoughts & expect a different outcome. Guess what ? If you travel the same path, you reach the same destination. Literally every time I turn a card I forget all my preconceptions & connect with what is being delivered to me IN THAT MOMENT !. The most important moment of a reading for me is meeting the questioner, I am totally conscious that they may be nervous & I do all I can to put them at their ease. That is why today I want to impress on you that you should strive to step outside of your comfort zone with every interaction and :

Empower those You Come Into Contact With

When you meet someone new, you should always provide a positive experience for them. Gifts can be something as simple as a smile, compliment, handshake, or an acknowledgement. You can also provide a gift of listening to them and being observant, possibly the most important aspect of being an effective counsellor. The smallest things can mean the most. You can show how much you appreciate someone with the simplest things. Personal gifts are free but can mean a lot to someone. They are very special.

Showing your appreciation can be a huge step towards forming a lasting relationship with people. Give someone a big smile and see how they react. It is very likely that they will return the smile. Smiles can tell us a great deal about people. They let us know that people are friendly, caring, and nice to be around. They are a simple way to show your friendly side to other people.

It is a great idea to get you into the habit of providing these free gifts to other people. Soon, you will find that people are more likely and willing to communicate and spend time with you. You will come off as an attractive person and people will want to get to know you more. It provides a whole new world of possibilities for better things for your life and more opportunities. You could meet a new person, smile at them, and find out that they are the person that you are meant to spend the rest of your life with. This is all based on the simple act of smiling.

Smiling can make you feel much better about yourself as a person and within your life. You become a better person within yourself and you will be much happier overall. If you are happy, you are better able to deal with any situation that arises in life. Your outlook is completely different when you are happy.

There are times when it is not easy to be happy. Learning to be happy is something that takes a lot of practice. Life is full of negatives and that makes people unhappy. A personís individual attitude is what ultimately determines how they respond to stress and negative situations. If you are happy and fulfilled, you are able to respond to any situation that arises in a positive way.

Positive people are glowing and radiant. They are people that others enjoy spending time with and that they want to be around. If you can learn to be happy, you will find that you start attracting many new people that are interested in you. Your life will no longer be lonely. You will find yourself surrounded by friends and new people that want to spend time with you.

It is easy to meet new people when you realize what it takes to be happy and when you offer a smile, a compliment, or a kind word. It starts building a relationship with a person. This small effort shows that you are willing to take the time to acknowledge a perfect stranger. It generates interest and people then want to know more about you. It is all started through a simple gesture that is friendly towards strangers. Smile at people.

Rebuilding relationships – Getting back together

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Rebuilding Relationships

The number 1 question I am asked is “How can I get them back ?” My reply is always “Are you sure that is a good idea ?” Sometimes a relationship is a lesson that needs to be learnt & then the individuals involved need to absorb the experience & move on …

Sometimes a relationship ends and for whatever reason one person is not able to let it go. They want to be back with the person that they were in the relationship with. They may have feelings that they cannot let go of. Or perhaps they think that the relationship ending was not the right thing and they want to fix it.

If a person was responsible for the relationship ending and things not working out, they may harbor a great deal of guilt. They may have a strong urge to make things right and win their mate back. This is especially true in a situation where there has been infidelity or some other trust issue that is most often a definite relationship deal breaker.

In some cases they may have had a momentary lapse in judgment. They could have thought that they wanted something different and then as soon as they had that, they realized it was not really what they wanted. They know that they hurt their partner and in some cases they cannot handle this thought. They are willing to do whatever it takes to get the person back and to repair the relationship.

In other circumstances, people decide that they need to be back together for different reasons. Some people are lonely. They may not be able to handle being alone. If both people are feeling lonely and not happy, they can seek the comfort that they have gotten so used to.

They will go back into the relationship, no matter what the reasons were for ending it to begin with, simply to have that closeness and comfort. They do not want to be alone. They want that empty hole to be filled back up. They will get back into the relationship to spend time together.

Once they have done this, they quickly realize the original reasons that they ended the relationship and things fall apart again. This can start a vicious cycle. They continue to go back and forth between being in a relationship with each other and then ending the relationship due to difference.

No matter what the reasons are, a decision to reenter a relationship is one that cannot be taken lightly. It cannot be made at an emotional time. You need to have a clear head and focus, to be able to decide if getting back into the relationship is the best option. If not, you are likely to end up with the relationship ending again and with any chance of a friendship being thrown away.

You and your ex both need to spend time talking about your relationship and what you both want. If you are both in agreement that you should work things out, then you need to decide how to go about rebuilding your relationship.

Often, people that are starting over will start out by dating again. They will pretend that they have never been in a relationship together. This gives them a completely fresh start and helps them to do things the right way and improve their relationship. But, both parties have to agree to work things out or it will never work.

Surviving a long distance relationship

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Can long distance love work ?
Long distance relationships

Long Distance Love – Can it Work ?

A few years ago I relocated & spent time traveling the middle east  absorbing the amazing culture & using this time to study the deeper connections in the Tarot. I had a great apartment & shared it with two crazy cats, no tv & intermittent internet connection. I had been in what I knew was the relationship of my life for many years & was happy that my partner followed me to share the experience. And then he decided it wasn’t for him. Devastated I realised that I had to ride out my time & threw myself in to the work & research I had traveled for. Every morning as I awoke to the call to prayer I thought of him, & at times I admit was incredibly lonely. Absence though, really does make the heart grow fonder. We not only survived the time we spent apart, it cemented our relationship as undoubted life soulmates.

So can a long distance relationship work ?

We survived through the magic of iChat & Skype. Many people I know have discovered love through the power of the internet. The internet is becoming more and more popular everyday. People are using the internet for all of their needs. This can be anything from working, paying bills, staying in touch with family, or even dating and trying to find a potential person to spend the rest of their life with. Internet has given everyone infinite possibilities.

Many people are utilizing online dating sites more and more in wanting to date and meet new people. There are innumerable reasons for this. Some people do not have time to go out and meet people. Other people are shy and have a hard time approaching people. However, the fact remains that people are using online dating websites. Some of these sites are free and others charge a monthly membership fee. It is all a matter of the particular site.

There are also other ways to meet people through the internet. You do not necessarily have to be involved in an online dating site. Some people meet others through instant messengers. There are also unending numbers of chat rooms available on the internet.

Some of these are related to different lifestyles, age groups or other factors. Others are just based around general chat topics. These can be great ways to connect and talk with other people. It also provides a way to meet people without having to worry about awkwardness or self confidence issues. There is much more freedom with online conversations.

With any online conversation, there is the potential for a relationship to develop. In many cases, these relationships are long distance. There are many online relationships that are very successful. They are continued online for a period of time. If things go well, then both people will decide that they want to meet each other in person.

Oftentimes, they will have talked on the phone, via emails, the internet, and will also have possibly spent time on webcams spending time together and seeing each other. They have worked on developing a good relationship between each other. They will have gotten to know each other well and know quite a bit about the other personís personality and character.

People tend to hide themselves behind their computers. You can only pretend and hide your true self from someone for so long before they will find out the true person that lies within. This is true in any type of a relationship. However, with a long distance relationship, it may be possible to get away with pretending for a longer period of time.

The person that you are spending time with is not there with you in your everyday life. You could be pursing other relationships without them knowing. You could also be putting on a front for the person that you are talking to. However, in time, you will have to show your true self. They will want to take the relationship further or something will come up to where they start finding out the truth.

It is best to be open and honest in any situation. If you are pursuing a long distance relationship, keep in mind that many are very successful. There are some that do not work out. This is usually due to actions of both people.

Some people just cannot handle the distance and want to have someone physically with them so bad. But, if you are willing and put your heart into it, you can have a successful long distance relationship and it could potentially turn into a situation where you spend the rest of your life with the person of your dreams once you meet each other.

I hope you find yourself loved today, remember you are a unique soul & deserve the best the universe can offer

Spring Equinox – Growth & Potential

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Spring is finally here
The earth warms - the potential of Spring

As the earth warms & the potential of Spring blooms, What is on your horizon ? Now is the time to act on any dormant dreams, & use the energy of Spring to harness any plans that you have been making.

As the Spring Equinox has now passed, the day when dark & light are perfectly balanced, the light that floods your world can illuminate your path like the lamp of the Hermit. Now is the time to act, to get moving, & as you notice the new life spring from the earth you can grow & expect the new season to explode your enthusiasm.

The Empress is the embodiment of this season for me & I always give thanks for the wisdom & clarity she has brought to my dreams, the magic & potential that fires up my spirit to give me the courage to strive towards my potential after the darkness of Winter.

The Spring Equinox

The spring equinox is a religious festival celebrated by pagan followers. It is a solar festival which celebrates the first equinox of the year in spring time. An equinox is where the length of day and night is equal, this happens two times per year. Once in spring when plants and life are blooming and coming into the environment. Then again in autumn when life is winding down, plants die off and animals go into hibernation. The spring equinox is also known commonly as the vernal equinox. It really depends who you speak to as to what definition they will use.

If you look at a literal translation of the phrase equinox you will find that it means equal night. This is due to the fact that the sun is in a position located above the equator. During this period, the length of day and night is around equal the world round. So why exactly does this occur? Well it is all to do with the earth’s tilted axis, the earth does not lie at a straight vertical angle from the north to south pole. It is based on a 23.4 degree slant, rather than a straight up and down alignment. This means that during the earth’s year long 360 degree rotation around the sun, different parts of the earth receive different exposure depending on the season. Summer is when the area of the earth that you are on is tilted closest to the sun, and has the most exposure to the rays and heat. Contrastingly winter is when the earth is at the other side of the sun, and your part of the world is tilted further away. This means less sunlight reaches you, and when it does there is less heat in it.

If the earth was on a straight vertical axis, days would be equal to nights the year round. There would be no seasons at all.

Religious traditions and rituals have followed the changing of the seasons for as long as man could consciously think. Specifically in the pagan faith the coming of spring is attributed to an increase in the powers of their God and Goddess. These are a personification of the different natural forces that are present in the world. The coming of spring is very much a celebration for followers of these religions. There is much celebration and thanks given to the Gods for their brining of life and harmony again to the world after winter. It depends on which specific religious denomination you look at, but different celebrations are carried out. This can be from acting out the roles of the spring God and Goddess, to symbolic celebrations of life with eggs and seeds.

Overall it is a powerful time of year for any religion or even individuals who wonder about our creation and destiny. Life is all around and it is a beautiful sight, it reminds us of the wonders of nature that are all around us, and how special life really is.

I hope that Spring fires your enthusiasm & launches you in to a really powerful transformational year !.

The court of the suit of Pentacles

Today I am perusing the Court, or family, of pentacles, The court cards can undoubtedly be the most difficult cards to interpret in a Tarot consultation. In my opinion the Court of the Suit of Pentacles is the most down to earth & accessible of all the suits.

The strong earthly element inherent in this suit will reveal how these characters reflect what could be happening in the life of the questioner.

The Suit of Pentacles refers to Earthly matters, financial opportunities, material aspects of life. However I often sense a correspondence to health & more specifically a healthy outlook around the Pentacles. The struggle for riches & wealth has absorbed our society, though in fact it is the riches you build in your soul that will be of far more value in manifesting a fulfilling life.

Study, scholarship and reflection surround him & often he can, as all pages, be a bearer of messages, either literal or through the subconscious. His awareness is blossoming, the excitement of realising that he can manifest his dreams through the power of positivity & hard work is a heady period for this character.

When this card appears then the questioner, or someone connected with them is germinating ideas or opportunities that if nurtured with enthusiasm & focus, can undoubtedly reap the rewards in a life changing venture that could literally pull dreams through to the realms of reality.

The Knight of Pentacles

The Lord of the wild & Fertile Land.

The Knight of Pentacles card finds my Knight on a calm black horse, stationary in front of a ploughed field. The Golden pentacle hangs in the sky like the sun. Stable, trustworthy & respected. This Knight can take the enthusiasm & spark of the Page & methodically bring the situation to fruition.

If this card appears to a questioner, they need to establish a methodical routine & be especially careful to avoid becoming distracted from their primary focus. This Knight can indicate that someone involved in the process is a perfectionist & must be encouraged to see the bigger picture, without becoming lost in the details of the task in hand.

The Queen of Pentacles

The Queen of the Thrones of the Earth.

My Queen appears before rolling lush green fields with Glastonbury Tor in the distance, under a sky that begins to brighten after a storm. In the foreground are a rabbit & a strange goat / fish hybrid creature. The Golden Pentacle is seen behind a clear crystal ball, under a canopy of roses an eye symbol appears to form from the clouds.

When the Queen appears to a questioner she generally represents a woman contented with life who is reliable & is now ready to enjoy the spoils of a more relaxed life, actively seeking out experience that is truly important & enriching to her & her family. The energy represented by this card is of someone very practical & supportive, who is the embodiment of the down to earth outlook of the Court of the Suit of Pentacles.

The King of Pentacles

The King of the Thrones of the Earth.

The King of Pentacles is a modern King who has mastery over all he touches. The grapes indicate that he is able to harvest success from any situation.

The King of Pentacles has the Midas touch combined with a teflon coating, any problematic situation just seems to slide away from him. He has achieved many of his ambitions, though his lust for life forever presents new opportunities to be explored. He has a genuine care for the wellbeing of others, he is particularly excited by motivating those around him to reach for their goals & fulfil their true potential. Should you receive the King of Pentacles in your reading, you can rest assured that with a plan you can turn any creative idea in to a wildly successful venture. Though he is down to earth this king definitely veers towards the better things in life & has worked hard to engineer the lifestyle he deserves.

I hope you enjoyed meeting the characters of the Court of Pentacles

As always I wish you only the best x

Tarot The Moon, Insomnia & the answer !

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Moon Tarot - The Card of the subconscious
Tarot - The Moon - Ruler of Flux and Reflux, Child of the Sons of the Mighty...

Around the change of season & always at the full moon phase I am liable to bouts of insomnia. There is nothing worse than lying there at 4am with your partner blissfully in the arms of sleep, knowing that you have appointments looming in a few hours. It is true that the darkest hours are before the dawn, it is then that the howling wolves & prowling dogs of my Tarot card take over my mind. The Moon card always throws up feelings of insecurity, where the past returns to haunt you, you are unsure of where the future lies. The Moon card connects to your subconscious & brings through things that you need to deal with before you can progress to the next phase of development. Slightly half asleep surreal dreams surround the Moon card, if this occurs to you, write them down immediately on waking as there is almost always some intuitive advice to be gleaned. Interestingly The Golden Dawn title for the Moon card is Ruler of Flux and Reflux, Child of the Sons of the Mighty… Another reason for many a sleepless night, reflux, particularly horrible if you are afflicted believe me !.

Insomnia – My solution

After struggling recently with a period of sleeplessness, having tried hot baths, warm milk, relaxation & eventually sleeping tablets that left me feeling like a zombie, my doctor surprised me with some suggestions that I am putting in to practice with great results. Hypnosis has worked a treat, though waking up entangled in the earbuds can be a little disconcerting, the real eye-opener & totally unexpected suggestion, Feng Shui. Being open to anything I consulted a Feng Shui friend on if they had any ideas as to how Feng Shui could improve my sleep & the first thing they said was ; ” Just how much rubbish is under your bed ?”. Well I was shocked, ( and slightly embarrassed ), under there were long obsolete printers, myriad computer bits, miles of cables, old bank letters & even stuff going back to when I was at college !.

As you know the primary element of Feng Shui is to enable the positive energy or ‘Chi’ to flow freely through your environment, bringing success, happiness & prosperity whilst carrying away negative forces. Needless to say the energy field under our bed was a complete Chi ‘trap’ & no wonder I was spending some uncomfortably sleepless nights !

It is a long process as, much to the distaste of my long suffering partner, I find it hard to let certain things go. Being an Aries sometimes in my life I have locked the door & moved away leaving everything behind !. However this time there are many things, including belongings of friends no longer with us, that I am finding harder to let go. We are awaiting a delivery of a storage bed & I am on my way to de-cluttering & guess what ?, last night I slept like a baby !

Top tips to Feng Shui your bedroom – essential things that you might need to know
For those of you who are wondering what feng shui is, it is precisely a way of life which helps you organize your personal and work life and bring in prosperity and happiness. The idea is to make use of an ideal Feng Shui bedroom furnishing which brings about a balanced chi and this in turn is bound to bring a balance into the physical bodies of individuals. The end result is that you will have a good health and you will start noticing the recuction of illness or anxiety of any kind. When you plan on decorating using Feng Shui, make sure that you follow as many feng shui principles as you can to maintain the balance. This is often considered important because altering all areas will cause chi confusion and to avoid that, you need to alter only one or two areas at a time.
When you decide to start feng shui your home, you will also have to focus on where to start. This is because if you start at the wrong spot you are bound to get lost and hence taking assistance from the experts is always advised. Most people focus on getting themselves a Feng Shui bedroom first as it usually happens to be the most comfortable place in your house. There are several Feng Shui bedroom tips that you can make use of to have a better understanding of the concept and also to learn how things are done in these cases. One of the most important aspects that most people will stress on when it comes to Feng Shui bedroom is the lighting. For instance, if you have bright lights or a distracting light fixture, it could easily negate the feng shui effects.
Different levels of lighting are the first thing that one needs to focus on when working out a Feng Shui bedroom. It is obvious that being able to dim the lights can be useful in creating a warm atmosphere that brings calming effect and will automatically make the room a much more inviting haven for rest. Another important aspect of Feng Shui bedroom is keep out large work out equipment, televisions and computers. These things are distracting and do not signal peace in any way.
Following such small tips could help you with the Feng Shui bedroom atmosphere and you will definitely see a lot of change and surprising results once you accomplish these tasks. Clutter is also a bad influence in the Feng Shui bedroom and you need to prevent build up, especially under the bed. A cluttered space equates to a cluttered mind, and that is something you don’t want right now. The scattered piled up clutter and mess is said to create an energy trap, one which stagnates the flow of positive energy and this makes way for bad Chi.

As always I wish you all the best & may you always sleep like a baby !

Tarot for relationships – Dealing with a break up

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

I recently gave a reading & the question presented to me by the sitter was. ” What do you see about my current relationship ?”

Tarot for Love & Relationships. The Chariot
Tarot The Chariot Child Of The Powers Of The Waters Lord Of The Triumph Of Light

I turned the significator card, The Chariot. I said ” I would question if this relationship is indeed current, or if so is at least unstable. The black & white Sphynx are suggesting that there are two very strong energies that are pulling in opposite directions”. With that the questioner said ” OK, my boyfriend split up with me, but I want him back …”

Following on from a previous post many people want their partner back just to feel the security of being in a relationship, even if that partnership is not satisfactory or even detrimental to the happiness of all involved.

So we rephrased the question to : My Boyfriend Broke Up With Me – Now What

If you’re facing the hurt, the doubt and the loneliness of a recent breakup with your boyfriend or partner there are some things you can do to win him back and some things you have to avoid at all costs. So if you’ve just said “my boyfriend broke up with me” the tips in this article can help.

For most people who are going through a breakup the tendency to try to contact your boyfriend to ‘talk some sense into him’ is almost overwhelming. It’s hard to resist, but if you want your boyfriend back you have to resist the urge to contact him.

Men aren’t known for their strength in dealing with emotions, theirs or yours. They often shut down and run away. Whatever reason your boyfriend had for breaking up with you it’s imperative that you give him space.

Men are also known for being ego driven. If you constantly try to cling to him this might feed his ego but it’s unlikely to help the two of you re-unite.

If he still cares about you this space will allow him time to remember the wonderful things you’ve shared and to miss you.

It’s also important for you to live your life. Go out with friends and genuinely try to be happy. I know this may sound ridiculous but if you try you’ll be surprised at how much better you can feel.

The fact is no one wants to be around someone who is miserable. If you try to use your unhappiness to ‘guilt’ your boyfriend into taking you back this will not only not work but it will just make you seem needy and pathetic and make him want to run far, far away.

A little distance is good for you too. The two of you broke up for a reason. Some space might give you the time to figure out what went wrong. Spend this time trying to improve yourself, not just to get him back but because you want to be the best ‘you’ that you can be. Now is a good time to honestly evaluate yourself and make the necessary changes.

Taking the time to find and fix yourself will make you come out stronger no matter what happens. If the two of you get back together you will have a better chance of making your relationship work and if you don’t get back together you will be a better person and have more of a chance of finding a stable relationship next time around.

So if you’re asking the question: “My boyfriend broke up with me, now what?” then it’s time for you to follow the advice above. It’s the best way to get yourself and your boyfriend back.

I wish you all the best …

The end of a relationship

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Dealing with the end of a relationship

Many times people come to me for a reading & it is obvious that they want me to help them rekindle a relationship that has ended. Most of the time it is obvious to me that the relationship has ended for a reason & they want to rekindle it simply for the familiarity & security that the partnership provided.

Though it may be scary & disorientating, when the Universe indicates that a relationship is over it is usually to release you to the opportunity that a new connection may be offering …

There are times when a relationship will end. There are many reasons that this occurs. There are also many different lengths of time that a relationship has gone on before it ends. Sometimes people will have been in a relationship for many years and other times they will have only been together for a few months. However, no matter how long the relationship has been established, there are still certain things that are true for every relationship that ends.

The end of a relationship will impact both people. They will both be hurt and have a wide range of emotions. No matter who is at fault or even if someone is at fault, it is going to change both parties. They will both be emotionally drained for a long period of time. They may not have any desire to be around anyone, even friends. Oftentimes a relationship that ends, whether good or bad, results in depression. Other times it leaves people angry and hostility becomes an issue for them for any length of time. They are blaming the other person or something has happened that ended the relationship that has made them angry. No matter what the situation is, the emotions have to be dealt with.

It is a very bad idea to try to jump into a new relationship right after a relationship has ended. However, many people do this. They have gotten used to having someone in their life. They miss having that and do not know what to do about it. So, they try to find another person to fill that void. However, this is a destructive pattern. It is also unfair to the other person that they are pulling into their negative pattern.

They are offering a false sense of themselves. They are pretending that they are in the relationship for the relationship. The other person has no idea that there is anything else going on. However, in most cases, the two people are not compatible with each other and they end up in a very bad situation.

They will not stay together and in time the relationship will completely deteriorate. The person that was using the relationship is now empty and alone once again and in most cases they are much more emotional and hurt than they were when they started.

The particular circumstances surrounding the relationship will factor into everything and determine how a relationship ends. If it was simply dating, then it will end easier than if it was a live in situation or if there were children involved. There are no specific rules about relationships and dating.

There are also no specific rules about how these relationships will end. Each person, each relationship, each life has its own dynamics and ideals. If a break up is mutual and simply due to the fact that the people are not compatible, it can be easier to end the relationship and keep things on good terms. If there are issues that have caused the relationship to deteriorate on the part of one person, then the relationship is much more likely to end in a bad way and with anger.

Remember love is all there is & to love yourself first is the most important thing.

I wish you only Joy & success xxx

Astrological Relationship Compatibility – Chinese Horoscopes

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Compatibility Issues Are Key To A Successful Relationship

Horoscopes for relationships
Astrological Horoscope relationship compatibilty

One of my most popular resources is my online Chinese Astrology Horoscope compatibility page. Regardless of whether you believe in Astrology, Chinese or Western, compatibility is important in any successful relationship. This is not to say that you and your partner have to like all the same things and be exactly alike. It is not a matter of having someone that is like a mirror image of yourself to share your time with. In fact, if this were true, there would be issues from the start and the relationship would be doomed to failure.

You want to find a person that enjoys some of the same activities that you do. If you both like completely different things, there is nothing for you to share when you spend time together. It makes the time strained for one person or the other. It also creates uneasiness and can create unhappiness in the end. This will result in the end of your relationship. It is perfectly acceptable to like different things and have a successful relationship. However, you cannot be completely opposite. There has to be some common ground so that you have things to do during your time together.

You will want a person that shares some characteristics with you. Of course you want them to have their own personality and be their own person. The differences are important for success. You will get bored if you are both too much alike. You will also have conflict between yourselves when you get comfortable with each other. There is nothing to add to the relationship. You both exist as one. You have to have some difference to discuss and add spice.

It is important that people in relationships have similar ideals relating to life and events in it. If you are religious, you would want to be with someone that shares religious values. If you have a desire to have a family, then you would want to be with a partner that also has a desire for family. In regards to life ideals, this is where compatibility is a must. There is nothing like finding a person and falling in love with them. You feel that you are destined to be together. Then, you decide to move your relationship forward.

You have your idea of how things are going to be. Your partner all of a sudden crushes your hopes and dreams. They tell you that they do not want children or that they are not interested in the same things that you are. This will bring about a quick end to the relationship and can leave you both devastated. You could also have feelings of resentment or betrayal toward the other person. It becomes a bad situation for everyone involved.

The best thing that you can do when dating is to find someone that is compatible with you. Talk to them about what you like. If there is something that you are completely against, make sure that they know that from the beginning. Tell them what you are looking for and what your ideal match would be like. Talk about characteristics and personality traits. All of these things are important and can help you have a successful relationship.

Tarot The Court of the suit of Swords

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Tarot Court of the suit of Swords
The Court of the suit of Swords

The Court cards of the suit of Swords are the embodiment of the element of Air that represents thought & intelligence. The swords are the mirrors of the subconscious & represent the development of opinions & beliefs. Usually associated with potential they can often indicate an affinity with spring & can be represented by Aquarius, Libra & Gemini astrologically. An abundance of Swords in a questioners spread can prove challenging & a balance of other suits is preferable to diffuse the severity of these double edged cards. Intelligence is central to the Court cards of the Swords suit, though if badly placed or reversed can indicate that the person is likely to be stubborn & not easy to negotiate with. Ambition, mental agility & decisive action surround this court & as the Sword is perfectly balanced you have to be careful to encourage positivity from any of the characters that populate this suit.
To visit the corresponding page for each of these cards simply click on the name of the card.
The King of Swords
Standing before you judgementally, between you the sign of his suit. He has parallels to the symbol of Justice in the Major Arcana. Quick to assess situations & make decisions this King should be approached with honesty & respect. The Butterfly wing represents the Butterfly effect of how this King’s decisions can have instant repercussions around the world. The flaming tree represents the speed that decisions can be implemented by the sword of this suit.

The Queen of Swords

To her right the weapon of the suit. You can sense a feeling of regret, sometimes around lost loves. She takes no prisoners. The butterflies represent her thought process & the ability to raise her mind above everyday issues. Fiercely independent, her decisions are based on logic not emotion. Can represent a very private individual & the stormy sky can indicate holding on to resentment.

The Knight of Swords

The white horse symbolising focus & purity of intent. Again the birds & butterfly indicate thought patterns above the norm & an extreme clarity of vision. The electrical storm embodies the energy & force of this card. His sword always cuts through to the truth of the situation. The skill, bravery & mental capacity of this knight can reveal the truth behind any turbulent circumstance. The downside is that the intelligence of this Knight can occasionally border on madness.

The Page of Swords

A lithe, perceptive, active figure; his sword upright, he moves decisively & quickly. He is passing over rugged icy terrain, linked to his ruthless nature. The clouds swirl wildly around him, disguising his true intent. He is alert and confident, looking directly at you, though fully aware of his environment. Vigilant he can be secretive & deceptive, as symbolised by the scorpion. He is a messenger bringing opportunities, though not always to be trusted.

Face your relationship fears – Allow love in to your life

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Facing Your relationship fears

The Three of Swords
The Three of Swords - The Lord of Sorrow

There are many cards that signal to me that a questioner has issues with relationships. I was giving a reading earlier today & the pierced heart of the Three of Swords left me in little doubt that the lady involved was feeling relationship pain. However it transpired that this was from a much earlier partnership & she had been carrying this emotion around for a long time & even allowing it to scupper any fresh encounters. It is often the case but until we learn the lessons from our emotional encounters we won’t be able to progress towards finding a fulfilling relationship.

There are many cards that can signify an unhappy outlook in the love area of your life, The Tower for example. Likewise there are many more that can indicate a happy outcome, the lady in question finished her spread with The Lovers, The Devil & The Emperor. These three powerful Major Arcana cards seem to indicate that she is in for an exciting time with a strong, successful man !.

There is a certain degree of fear that exists within any relationship. For some people this fear is overwhelming. They will avoid dating or pursuing relationships due to the fact that they are scared. They may have had bad experiences in the past. They may just be shy or have their own reasons for being afraid.

The truth is you have to love yourself first before you can open up to a soulmate.

Some people simply have a fear of commitment. They may be afraid of losing their freedom. They may not want to risk being hurt. They protect their heart and do not want to risk anything happening to it. No matter what the issue is, it is well documented that in some cases irrational fear will control a person’s life. They are not capable of functioning effectively within the world until they learn the lessons of interpersonal relationships. This creates a major problem and can devastate some people.

The first thing to do in conquering fears is to admit that you are afraid. Be willing to say you have a problem. This is often the most difficult step on the process of overcoming the fear. Once you can open up and talk to people, they will be able to see that you get the help you need to get better. If you do not talk about your fear, there is no way for anyone to help you deal with it. You may not be dealing with it yourself. Perhaps you have put it in the back of your mind and are pretending that there is nothing wrong.Once you cross this boundary the results are incredibly liberating !.

After you have admitted your fear, you can start to deal with it and overcome it. There are many ways to deal with your fear. Perhaps you need to have someone to talk to. Maybe a friend or family member is a good source of help for you. Talk with people and see what help they can offer you. Perhaps someone has been through the same things or something similar and can offer you expert advice. If you do not get any answers from your support system, look for fear related discussion groups. You can do a search on the internet to find groups in your area. This puts you in touch with people that are suffering the same way that you are. My relationship psychic service can cnnect with you & suggest the path that you should follow to reveal your soulmate.

Do not try to date while you are overcoming your fears. This is a sure way to set you up for failure. You are not completely happy with yourself. If you are not happy and content with your individual life, you cannot give your whole self to a relationship and be completely happy with another person. You will doom the relationship before it ever begins. It is best to completely heal yourself before you begin dating.

No matter what the issues are that you are facing, it is important to know that they can be dealt with and handled. You can overcome and live a happy, fulfilled life. It is possible to work everything out and then find the person that you are meant to spend the rest of your life with. You will be happy and at peace within yourself. This makes it possible to love someone and put your whole heart into the relationship.

Wherever you are on your love quest remember you are a beautiful soul & I wish you only the best x.

The Cups Court cards in Tarot
Tarot The Court of the suit of Cups

Continuing my journey through the Court cards, the court cards, though puzzling initially are fantastic indicators of the people who are in, or are going to impact, the questioner’s life. I find it useful to describe the energy that I am picking up from any court card that appears as sometimes the questioner will recognise the personality traits and know who the card represents. Sometimes even if the card represents a different sex you can sense & interpret the qualities of the individual the cards are trying to portray. This is why I think it is wise to avoid learning a regimented meaning for each card & just interpret the person you feel coming through.
Each of my Pages indicates the seed of the personality of the suit. The Pages always bear messages related to the inherent qualities associated with their court.
Knights take the inherent qualities of their suit to the next level, the youths of the suit. Learning to trust in their choices & abilities, fight for their beliefs, sometimes in the extreme.
The Queens of each suit take the seed of the Page, the enthusiasm of the Knight and magnify these qualities to nurture & expand on the characteristics of their court to encourage development & growth.
Kings are the embodiment of the energy of each suit. The power that drives & commands their court. They are leaders, innovators, their ambition to achieve their goals is very motivational. Usually larger than life personalities, they will certainly command attention.

Tarot The Court Cards The suit of Wands

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

The Tarot Court Cards

The Court cards can cause confusion when someone begins to interpret the Tarot. Many years ago I abandoned the little white books that come with Tarot decks & decided to rely on intuition to decipher the message my deck was showing me. I list the accepted meanings of the court or ‘people’ cards here. As I have progressed through designing my Tarot deck I have met inspirational people who embody the essence of the card for me. They now represent the court card & as you can see there are still some blanks waiting to be filled !. When a ‘person’ card lands in a questioners spread there are certain standards that apply, like the Pages always represent messengers, though as I said I like to open up my intuition & try & describe the person that my Tarot deck is trying to refer to.

Today I would like to introduce the court cards of the suit of Wands

The Tarot Court cards of The suit of Wands
The Wands

If you are interested in a more detailed explanation of each card please click their name to visit the page on my site.

The Page of Wands

A young creative person has a message of great importance. He is unfamiliar but trustworthy and his knowledge will surprise.

Divinatory Meanings: Dark young man, faithful, a lover, an envoy, a postman. Beside a man, he will bear favorable testimony concerning him. Not to be crossed, especially if followed by the Page of Cups. Has the primary qualities of his suit shown by the flaming wand. He may signify family concerns that need to be dealt with.

Reversed: Anecdotal information, announcements, unsettling news. Possibly indecision and the instability which accompanies it.

The Knight of Wands

Enigmatic & conscious that life is a journey, with a sprouting wand, is not on heading in to battle. He is passing through a desert like landscape. The energy of his horse is symbolic of his energy, and suggests that the questioner is embarking on an exciting phase, with life-changing consequences.

Divinatory Meanings: Departure from the norm, an exciting encounter, flight, movement. A dark young man, friendly & gregarious. Change of residence.

Reversed: Instability, division, interruption, discord.

Queen of Wands

The Wands throughout this suit are always budding, representing potential, as it is a suit of creativity and action. Emotionally and in interpretation, the Queen’s personality corresponds to that of the King, but is more diplomatic & alluring.

Divinatory Meanings: An intuitive woman, a channel, sociable, respectable, loving, honorable. If the card beside her signifies a man, a romantic connection is possible; if a woman, she is of great importance in the life of the questioner. Focused, & extremely powerful in capturing creativity & applying it to a business environment.

Reversed: Economical social interaction, too obliging. Can represent unfounded opposition, jealousy, & gossip or underhand behaviour.

The physical and emotional nature to which this card is attributed is intelligent, enigmatic, respected, aarticulate, impassioned & noble. The King wields a flowering wand, and exhibits a scroll beside his crown. He connects with the symbol of the lion, Leo which blazes in glory between the salamander messengers .

Divinatory Meanings: Erudite man, personable, educated, honest, conscientious. The card always signifies honesty, and involves unexpected information revealed before very long. Reversed: Good prospects, but challenging; a time of honest reviewal of prospects.

Court Cards a general overview

People tend to fall into particular personality types whether they be introvert or extrovert, optimist or pessimist, philanthrope or misanthrope and so on. There are a number of psychological and behavioral tests that exist to determine these personality types. The same principle applies to the reading of tarot cards. The court cards in tarot, represented by Queens, Kings, Pages and Knights, are generally considered to be the most difficult to read. The reason for this is because what the cards represent depending on the querent is somewhat ambiguous. However when understood properly they are one of the most useful cards to signify people in a querent’s life.

The trick to fully understanding court cards is to know what they signify in the context of a given spread. Court cards usually refer to people, whether it be the querent themselves of someone in their life. In general Queens and Kings refer to adults, Knights to youths and Pages to young children. Though the court cards usually refer to people this does not have to be the case. They can also carry symbolic meaning. For example a Knight could represent a ‘trip’ or ‘journey’ given that they ride on horseback. A King may refer to personality traits involving leadership and command.

Another helpful way to put the court cards into context is by using Zodiac signs. If you are uncertain of the meaning of a particular court card then you can look to it’s Zodiac sign. What Zodiac signs the court cards are aligned with will depend on the deck you are using. Using Zodiac signs shouldn’t be a hard and fast rule however, they are merely there to guide you if you are otherwise unsure. If you have a string inclination that the King/Fire is a Taurus but the pack has aligned it with Capricorn then you should go with your own intuition.

Valentine’s Day Love tarot

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Lovers Tarot - Relationship readings
The Lovers - Tarot for relationships

It’s almost here, Valentine’s Day. Unsurprisingly quite a few people having readings are asking the same question, “Will Cupid fire his arrow for me this year ?”. Valentine’s Day has become hugely commercial & is a really big deal for a lot of people that see it as the main chance for attracting a partner, or even better a soulmate. Is this realistic ?.

As I’ve said many times, until you really start to truly love yourself & project your unique, authentic personality you simply won’t attract the love of your life. Think about it if you are ‘acting a part’ or projecting a stylised version of yourself, people are going to be interacting with that ‘other you’ & not your true persona.

Online Lover’s Spell

My Online Cosmic Order allows you to be more specific about exactly what, or who !, it is that you want to manifest into your world.

Saint Valentine’s day, commonly referred to as simply Valentine’s Day is a holiday occurring on the 14th day of the month of February. Valentine’s Day is a day set aside for lovers to express their love for one another. Lovers who wish to show affection to their significant other on Valentine’s Day usually present their partner with gifts ranging from flowers; red roses and white roses are extremely popular, luxuries like fine chocolate or strawberries  & of course presenting them with a slushy Valentines card !. Anonymous Valentine’s Day cards are of course always good fun !. You can send someone a virtual boost of love with my Lovers Tarot postcard.
Valentine’s Day has been popular since as far back as the middle ages. Valentines gifts were extremely popular back even centuries ago, although written Valentines greetings were not dominant until after the 1400’s. In modern times, Valentine’s Day is extremely popular in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, France and other Western nations. It is common for lovers, friends and even family to share tokens of appreciation with each other on Valentine’s Day. Some people choose different ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day; spending time with loved ones and exchanging gifts are the most common. Going out to a nice restaurant or preparing a special dinner for your significant other is an extremely popular way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Red Roses are thought to signify love and a sense of care for the other person, though they mysteriously become more expensive around this time of year !. Recently, homemade gifts have become extremely popular, the extra thought and effort put into a lovely homemade gift is a great way to truly show your special person that you deeply care for them. Instead of buying a generic card from a corner store, why not create a handmade card with your own unique greeting to your lover ?. Writing love poetry is perhaps the biggest and most thoughtful gesture you can display on Valentine’s Day. The aim is to truly make your Valentine’s Day meaningful to you and those you are sharing your love with, because it is a special day and a memorable way to show gestures of love to those that you care about. Remember though when your lover tells you that you should not waste your money on Valentine’s gifts, you can be sure they don’t mean it !.

Wherever you are & whoever you are with, I wish you a joyful Valentine’s Day !..

Lucky Omens – Black Cats

Lucky Omens

Many people around the world believe in lucky omens even if they wouldn’t necessarily describe themselves as superstitious. There are certain lucky and unlucky omens that are so prevalent in society that most people believe and adhere to them to some extent. For example most people would avoid walking under a ladder if they have chance, even though they may not really believe it will bring them bad luck. Belief in omens is a subconscious belief for most people, it has been part of human culture for centuries and continues to be passed down through the generations.

One of the more interesting omens are black cats. Whether you believe black cats to be a sign of luck or misfortune will usually depend on where on the globe you live. In the UK and Japan to come across a black cat is considered a good omen. Whilst if you live in the US and many other European countries it is considered a bad sign. Whilst a cat might seem like a strange choice for an omen it is somewhat understandable. Cats have lived alongside human beings for millennia and were worshipped in ancient Egypt. They were also considered sacred by Romans.

Some other popular omens include –

• Breaking a Mirror – this is considered to be a very omen and in many cultures is said to bring you 7 years worth of bad luck
• Friday 13th – Many people consider this to be an unlucky day on the calendar where they are more prone to misfortune
• Finding a Horseshoe – This is considered to be one of the luckiest symbols bringing good fortune to whomever finds it
• Spilt Salt – Spilling salt is considered a bad sign so to reverse this many people will toss the spilt salt over their left shoulder.
• Knocking on Wood – Many people knock on wood to bring them luck or avoid misfortune in a certain situation. This dates back to a time when certain cultures believed God lived in trees.

Finding love in 2012

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Lovers
The Lovers - Children of the Voice Divine, Oracles of the Mighty Gods

Last night I had the joy of watching a friend of mine falling in love. A lot of people ask me “Why can’t I find the right person / when will I meet my soulmate”, it was no different with this lady. As I watched her flirting like a teenager, I felt secretly pleased, the last time I gave her a reading The Lovers indeed featured, however the primary message was that until she really began to love herself for the fabulous woman she is, and stopped looking for the perfect person she had created in her mind, she would still be searching for love.

Finding love in 2012, is this your year ?

Valentines Day is approaching, looking for love in 2012, is it possible, Is this your year?

If you’re like most people the New Year brings a time when we try and revaluate ourselves our desires & our goals.  We look at our weight, our jobs, our finances and many times our relationships, or lack of one !.  We usually sit down and make a plan to change what we don’t like and build on what we do.  For many single people finding someone to share their life with or spend time with is at the top of their New Year resolutions. Life is a journey that is better travelled when you can share your successes and your failures with someone you love.  Is this the year you’ll find love?  How important is finding a partner to you?  2012 could very well be the year you find love if you plan correctly.  Here are some suggestions to increase your odds of success.

Take the initiative

Most of us have many responsibilities we must allocate time for or they don’t get done.  Work must be taken care of.  Groceries must be purchased.  Dishes and laundry must be washed.  The list goes on and on.  All our responsibilities we make time for.  We set aside time and put energy into them so they are sure to be completed.  The same goes for finding a companion. You must make time to send out vibes that you are looking for love. You must make time to socialise and interact with real people.  Sitting on the couch and waiting for Mr. or Ms. Right to stumble through your front door is not going to find you a life companion. If you’re serious about finding someone special.  Get off the couch, off Facebook and go to singles events.  Go to every party you’re invited to, attend meet-ups, happy hours and functions where real people interact. If you have an interest join a club where you can meet like minded people. Most of all though, accept that you are a unique soul, a wonderful individual & you deserve to be loved !.

Take Some Chances, Change your Mindset

So you’ve decided to get serious about attracting someone special.  You’ve taken initiative, you’ve dedicated time with real people and now you need to take a few risks. I’m not talking about being foolish and making a date, with a stranger, for the first time in a dark alley.  Taking risks doesn’t mean jeopardising your values or safety.  What I’m talking about is visualising yourself in an exciting new relationship. If you have a fixed idea and know exactly how your ideal mate looks or how he / she will behave, I’m afraid you are probably set to be disappointed.  Take a little risk, ask the universe to deliver a new partner and you might be pleasantly surprised. Perhaps date someone a  little older, maybe take a chance with someone a bit younger than your ideal. Dating should be a fun time and a time for trying new things.  Break the mould and see that maybe what you’ve been searching for isn’t really what you want after all.

Put Yourself in a Position for Success

If you’re sitting in front of a television or computer waiting for your dream guy / girl to walk through the door, you’ve pretty much set yourself up for failure and another year of wondering when love will arrive.

Understand people that are successful at dating are generally successful are not luckier, prettier or smarter than you.  They just put themselves in better circumstances, increasing their odds favourably, to find and court the type of person that could be that someone special.  2012 could very well be the year you find love if you take the initiative, dedicate your wish to the universe, take a few chances and put yourself in a position for success.

If you are looking for love, I seriously hope Cupid comes looking for you very soon. I am off for lunch with my partner of 10 years, we are still incredibly happy & yes, they are nothing like my imagined ‘type’ …

Imbolc Reconnecting to the Universe

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
The Fool Tarot Card
The Fool - Potential

I woke this morning after an uneasy sleep feeling very slightly anxious. I turned my daily affirmation card & saw myself & dog Max on my familiar Fool card. The Fool generally indicates new beginnings, potential with an underlying message of ignoring the myriad distractions, reconnecting to your true purpose. I went for a walk on this beautiful crisp morning & made a conscious decision to reconnect to the earth, as much as is possible in the hustle & bustle of Shepherd’s Bush. After speaking to some friends I realised that we are approaching the half way point between Winter & Spring, a time when the earth begins to warm & come back to life. I realised that I ALWAYS feel like this at this time of year & remember talking about it to my Irish family who explained that this period has been celebrated in Irish folklore since the middle ages. The NeoPagan faith also recognises this time of year by celebrating Imbolc which occurs at the beginning of February.

Imbolc, (pronounced “IM-bulk”), is also referred to by the Druids as Oimealg (“IM-mol’g), the festival of lactating sheep.  Oimealg was created from the Gaelic word “oimelc” which translates to “ewe’s milk”. The period when pregnant ewes would start to lactate understanding new life is forming. Imbolc is among the four historic Celtic Holy Days.  It is considered one of the Sabbats or Holy Days of religious witchcraft.  Imbolc is also considered as I mentioned previously  in the 8 Holy Days of Neo-Paganism.

Imbolc is among the list of cornerstones on the Celtic calendar.  It is considered among the four “cross-quarters” traditionally commemorated as Sabbats in pagan cultures.  Imbolc is the only traditional Celtic celebration explicitly identified with a female deity.  It stands out as the day the Celtic Warrior Cailleach collects her fire wood for the remainder of the winter months. Imbolc is among the list of four key celebrations of the Celtic calendar, observed either at the beginning of February or around the earliest indications of spring. Imbolc signifies the midway point of the darker portion of the year.  It is furthermore the first fertility holiday on the Wiccan liturgical calendar.

Imbolc signifies a period from the hearth fire as well as thawing and stirring of earth’s waters melting from the Sun. It also honors Brigit the three-fold goddess associated with fire, poetry and healing.  Wiccans observe an alternative of Imbolc as one of four “fire festivals” which comprises half of the eight holidays on the Wheel of the Year. With the Christian calendar, this unique event was altered and renamed Candlemas.  Christians light candles to reflect upon the purification of the Virgin Mary.  Imbolc and Brigid are additionally believed to have a link with the Roman tales surrounding the celebration of Lupercalia as well as the Egyptian Feast of the Nut, they are both held on February 2.  In the United States and Canada most likely you know Imbolc as Groundhog’s Day (February 2) when a groundhog emerges from his burrow to forecast whether winter will be for 6 more weeks or whether spring is just around the corner.  Even though the practices and names for this celebration are different, the underlying messages are identical; the desire and anticipation of spring.

Imbolc is also recognized as Brigid’s (pronounced BREED) Day. Brigid is the triple Goddess in her new role as maiden departing the crone associated with winter behind. It is also a period when growers as well as fishermen rely on continuous improvement in the weather conditions. Imbolc marks the halfway period between the Winter solstice and the Vernal Equinox; a time when hope starts to stir accompanied by a yearning for the return of spring. It is commonly a celebration of newness; the promise of fertility, new life and fresh hope. In many instances it’s marked by the lighting of candles.  Food dishes offered at Imbolc festivals are, not surprisingly, milk along with other dairy products.  Other foods frequently served at Imbolc gatherings are tender baby vegetables and sprouts.

Imbolc is sometimes regarded as a Sabbat of fertility, inspiration, healing and purification. It may also be a white time, burning with inspiration and commitment or cooling with healing and purification. Purification clears the way for fresh, new life when spring begins Imbolc is an excellent time for self-purification.  It may also be regarded as a time of revitalization and fresh starts. As a result Imbolc is a great occasion to release creative juices and permit them to flow through poetry, sculpture, painting or possibly anything signifying a facet of nature that may be most sacred to you.  It is a wonderful chance to think about your objectives and resources; it’s an opportunity to clarify one’s aim and devote one’s self to the upcoming year.  Imbolc is best reserved for commemorating and evaluating your connection with the Universe and Mother Earth.

Take a moment this Spring to really connect & consider how you want your year to unfold.

As always, I hope you manifest everything you desire

Tarot 2012, Beyond the comfort zone

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Tarot readings 2012
Tarot spread for 2012

A simple three card Tarot reading inspired my blog post today. In a nutshell the cards that came up for the questioner were: The Hanged Man, The Four of Cups & The Tower. I intend to post some simple insights in to readings & then expand on the underlying dynamics behind the reading. Very briefly this reading went along these lines : “The Hanged Man you feel that you are suspended,This card tells you that you will need to release yourself and allow yourself to see things from a different perspective. The Four of Cups indicates that you are dis-satisfied with your lot. Though things are ticking over you are not excited or motivated about the future, The truth, you know already, is that you must seek out a new path that will return fulfilment to your life. The Tower crumbles, the facade is destroyed what lies behind, how are you going to step out of the security you have created to re-energise your life ? ” …

Though this is a very brief synopsis the lady confirmed that she was indeed bored by her life, her relationship & her job & knew deep inside that she had to shake things up to reveal where she needed to make changes to take control of her life in 2012.

This is a pattern that I have been seeing in many readings that I have given at the beginning of this new year.

Is it time for you to re-assess your direction ?

Now is the time to push your limitations, cross some boundaries, and make small changes each day to reach new goals and to expand your life beyond your expectations.

2012 marks a brand new year and a time most of us will make New Year resolutions. If you’re like most of us, you have a few habits you’d like to change and the beginning of the year sounds as good as any time to start. Roughly 50% of us will make at least one New Year resolution but very few of us will succeed.

Make sure you push your boundaries little by little and take things one day at a time. I encourage you to push your limits and try something new. Go beyond the barriers you’ve set for yourself. Do some research and learn some truths. Become a skeptic of what peers have defined as reality. Ignore how they define you or describe who you are. The fear of the unknown is what keeps us from extending our experience. If you always go for what is comfortable, life can become small & prevent you from truly experiencing everything our world has to offer.

A few years ago I was given the chance to travel that included visits to countries that my friends thought I was mad to even consider. There preconditioning & their beliefs meant that they would not remotely consider such a journey. After careful consideration & consultations with my deck I decided I would indeed go on the adventure that was offered. The outcome was that I visited places, met fabulous people & experienced cultures that had I listened to my friends fears, would never have materialised for me.

If you always travel the same path, you will always reach the same destination is a phrase that I love & has become a sort of mantra for me. My first video of 2012 shows one of the tandem parachute drops that I have made. Again friends of mine thought I was mad, but this life experience will live with me forever and I am glad I faced my fears.

I am not a daredevil & there are things that I could not imagine doing, for example a friend of mine is a singer & I am in awe whenever I see him perform in front of thousands of people. However, more & more I think that incrementally ‘facing your fears’ & expanding your boundaries, can manifest a new life that can be fantastically rewarding.

When you worry, your brain is in the state of “fight or flight”, you are incapable of shaping what you wish for and unable to stay open to inventive ideas. Fight or flight is the usual way people respond to stress or uncertainty. The issue is while flight or fight is acceptable when confronted with actual physical danger, this identical behaviour, in the experience of emotional fear, may cause significant issues with personal growth. Instantly, the body naturally responds to danger using its flight or fight response. The body releases adrenalin to help you do whatever you need to do to protect yourself. Controlling our fight or flight instinct is essential to keep stress in check and realise personal growth. Often times this requires stepping out of our comfort zone.

Living in your comfort zone may feel safe, but it won’t help you reach your personal goals. You instinctively seek a comfort zone in life where nothing or little changes. Stepping out of your comfort zone can strip you of self-imposed limitations. The reason so many of us like to stay within our comfort zone is because we enjoy feeling content and automatic behaviours are the hardest to break. Automatic behaviours represent the limitations that can keep you from reaching your true potential. The disadvantage of staying in your comfort zone is that you will never grow within it. Even if you don’t particularly like your comfort zone, like an old worn-out baby blanket, it offers you security.

You need to understand how important it is to venture out of your boundaries. Successful people learn to enlarge their comfort zone by stages. Most anything you do in your life is scored against your personal boundaries, and you can learn behaviours with time that will prevent you ever moving beyond the self imposed barriers you create. The comfort zone is also correctly known as the “Self Limiting Self Concept”. Imagine your comfort zone is your rival. It is the enemy of all human potential. If you really want to reach your New Year’s resolutions and goals, you only need to take small steps. These small steps can reduce the anxiety and stress of trying something new. Pushing yourself just a little bit each day will expand your life beyond your dreams. Venture out of your comfort zone in 2012 and see how much more life has to offer you!

2012 THE year of Transformation

2012 The year of transformation

Ok so 2012 is here. We have had the New Year’s celebrations, the resolutions, what does it really mean for everybody ?. I personally believe that 2012 is a transformational year for every individual, humanity as a collective consciousness & especially for our planet. For me 2012 will see me stepping more into what I believe is my authentic life, not the life that society, the media, or authorities would lead me to believe is my life. I have put together a short video of how I feel personally at the beginning of 2012 on where life has brought me up to this fabulous year.

2012 video Change yourself, change your future

I feel that everyone is questioning their place on the planet, their true purpose. I have been thrilled in the first view days of this New Year to see friends who have been feeling lost, or trapped, suddenly make life changing decisions. Career changes, relationship choices, even just upping sticks & setting off to see the world. It is so gratifying to see people genuinely excited, taking risks & grabbing life by the horns & just going for it. To really experience life, & the reason you are here, sometimes you need to just take the chance, step outside of the comfort zone.

2012 the theories

You would be hard pressed to find somebody who isnʼt at least partially familiar with the concept of 2012. There are many theories concerning the year 2012, most of which relate in some way to the mayan calendar and the predictions that were made by the Mayans. Some believe that the Mayans were predicting the end of life on Earth in December 2012 while other simply believe that it will be a time of change and transition. Whatever you believe it is hard to ignore the 2012 phenomenon. As we head into 2012 letʼs take a look at the astrology and predictions that have brought about such beliefs.
There is a great deal of disagreement amongst scholars who study the subject of 2012. Some say that the account of the Mayan calendar coming to an end on December 21st 2012 is completely false whilst others believe that it simply means it will be a time of great change and growth for human civilisation. A popular belief surrounding 2012 involves Planet X or Nibiru. The belief is that the planet will come into close orbit with the Earth and collide with it in 2012. However belief has mostly lost credibility by this point as anything so close to the Earthʼs orbit would be visible by now.
The reason these theories exist is because one of the Mayan calendars, known as the Long Count Calendar comes to an end between 21st-23rd December 2012. The mayan calendar has proven to be extremely accurate in predicting astrological events over the years so some that if the calendar stops in 2012 then that means the end of time. However the calendar does not stop on this date, it merely resets to zero. The dates also coincide with a winter solstice where the sun aligns with the centre of the milky way – the first time for 26,000 years. Some say this will cause catastrophic changes to the Earth although there is no solid scientific evidence to back this up.
2012 has had a lot of influence over popular culture with thousands of books and websites being produced. There have also been major Hollywood movies made on the subject – the most obvious being the 2009 film ʻ2012ʼ. Many people treat the subject very lightly and see it as mere speculation or misinformation however there are people who are very concerned about the subject and worry about what will really happen in 2012. I think there will be major shifts that will lead us to truly follow our authentic destiny, I also believe that materialism & working for the sake of working will be overshadowed by everyone feeling driven to find an occupation that really fulfills them. Wherever 2012 leads you, I truly hope you manifest everything you desire.

Winter Solstice 2011

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Winter Solstice – Moving Ahead to 2012
The day of the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year. It marks the beginning of winter, and happens on either December 21st or 22nd, depending on where you live. After this winter solstice we are moving towards 2012, which is predicted to be a massive transition for humanity & our planet. Can you feel the change in the air ? I certainly can !.
Winter solstice 2012, marks the end of one cycle of the Long Count Calendar used by the Mayans, Aztecs, Toltecs and Olmecs. A cycle lasts 5125. 26 years. The winter solstice of 2012 coincides with the turning over of the Long Count Calendar, and on that morning, the sun will seem to rise towards the patch of sky known as the galactic center. This is also the location of the black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
While this is not the first time that this has or will occur, but the difference in 2012 will be that the sun will seemingly touch a part of the great rift which winds its way along the galactic equator. This is important in Mayan cosomology as this area of the sky is linked to spiritual rebirth mythology. This is the first time in some 26,000 years that the sun will appear to touch the great rift, and some believe that this will lead to significant adjustment and change.
Mayan astrologers predicted this as an end to civilization as we know it. Mayans did correctly predict the end of their own civilization, although it would seem as though they directed their own fate, based on their beliefs.
On December 21, winter solstice 2012, the Earth and the galactic center (the Milky Way) will align. As this only occurs once every 26,000 years, this in itself is a dramatic event. Predictions of what will occur on the winter solstice of 2012 range from the devastation of the Earth, to a wondrous reconnection to our higher selves. More likely we may see ourselves being more open to our dreams, finding inspiration and light from within.
The winter solstice of 2012 will indeed bring change as it does each year. After the shortest day of the year the earth begins its climb towards spring and renewal. The days begin to get longer and the earth begins to warm itself in the Western Hemisphere, and human civilization begins to prepare itself for the incredible, yet mysterious year ahead.

I know you had a Fantastic Solstice & get ready for an incredible 2012 !

Merry Christmas !

I truly hope you manifest everything you desire.

2012 Year of the Water Dragon – Chinese Astrology

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

2012 is set to shake things up on several fronts. Firstly the 5th Chinese Zodiac Animal, the incredible Dragon storms in to dare us to follow our dreams, take up the challenge & finally follow our passion. Fiery by nature the message of the water Dragon is to temper the flames with relaxation, really go for your dreams, but be careful to work on your work life balance.

2011 saw radical environmental change, 2012 will see even more changes in economies, environment, humanities, etc. Priorities will be changing for everybody & there will be a massive shift in our world, people will be connecting more than ever before, not on a superficial level, in a way that will genuinely lead to a burst in human development. Things that seemed important, such as material gain purely for profit will be replaced by activities that will really nourish & inspire people to do great things & strive to finally reach their full potential.

Dragon influence

Able to see all aspects of a challenge, anyone influenced by the Dragon can expect choices, they crave relationships, though absolutely revel in their independence. Chinese relationship compatibility has been used for 1,000s of years to understand how the elements & animals interact. You can find out your sign & who best you interact with on my Chinese Astrology Compatibility page . While my chinese Astrology has been overshadowed by my western Astrology & Daily Horoscopes, the fascinating power & romance of Chinese astrology continues to fascinate me.

Chinese astrology and Chinese zodiacs date back over 2,000 years. Most people are not
familiar with doctrines of Chinese astrology. It has a close relation to Chinese philosophy
and the concepts of yin and yang. Chinese astrology first appeared during the Zhou
Dynasty – around 1046BC. It was further expanded upon during the Han period where the
usual elements associated with Chinese philosophy appeared – the theory of five
elements, Confucian morality, yin and yang & Heaven and Earth. The main belief with
Chinese astrology is that a personʼs destiny is determined by the position of the planetʼs at

There are 12 zodiac signs in Chinese astrology. All named after animals. 2012 is the year
of the dragon. In Chinese culture The Dragon is regarded as a divine beast – a symbol of
good fortune and power. This is quite opposed to the western view of the dragon as a
scary creature. The year of the dragon occurs every twelfth year. The characteristics that
people associate with someone who is born in the year of the dragon include innovation,
flexibility, bravery, self-assurance, enterprise, scrutiny. The characteristics of the dragon
sign are affected by one of the five Chinese elements of Wood, Fire, Metal Water and
Earth. In 2012 we see the year of the Water Dragon.

The Water Dragon is more perceptive than than the dragon of the other four elements.
They are able to step back and evaluate situations and make carefully considered
decisions. They do not desire the limelight and are able to see eye-to-eye with people.
They are better equipped to deal with situations that require patience with a calmness not
associated with the other Dragons.

Have a Fantastic Christmas & get ready for an incredible 2012 !

Merry Christmas !

I truly hope you manifest everything you desire.

Learning to Love Yourself

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

I get many mails from people searching for love & trying to re-ignite a relationship that has gone off the boil. The question is usually “How do I get them to love me ?”. I always answer before you can be loved, or truly love another, you must learn to love yourself. Not in a narcissistic way, but to truly be comfortable in your own skin.
Learning to love yourself
People tend to spend so much of their time waiting to be loved; they hope love will find them, so they searching for that special love and end up feeling empty and lost if they don’t have it. Contrary to popular opinion, life doesn’t usually work like that. Loving yourself is mainly having self-respect which is the only sure way to create love in your own life that you will eventually share with others. When people begin to expect love from an external source, and that external source-someone or something- does not fill their void and fantasies, it will only lead to the person feeling worse than before. For one to be able to be loved, they must first love and respect themselves as much as they do others.
Learning to love yourself is not an easy task, but the hardships are well worth the risk. It is good to express yourself in any way you can; if you have an opinion, let it be heard, if you have something on your mind, put it put there. Expressing yourself will go a long way in helping you to value yourself and your opinions, instead of allowing other people to influence you. Besides learning to properly express yourself, you should also learn to stop punishing yourself for past mistakes. People often fall into the trap of punishing themselves for events that transpired in the past; this behavioral mind set is very detrimental to learning to truly love one’s self. Instead of punishing yourself for a past mistake, learn to look at your past experiences as a lesson learned. Forgiving yourself is perhaps one of the biggest steps in learning to love yourself. Patience and persistence also go a long way in helping you achieve your goals of self-respect. You should start to work towards what you want to achieve by doing something positive, learning to have a more positive outlook or being enthusiastic about your situation. You should adopt the attitude of defining yourself through the things you have accomplished instead of ruminating on the things you do not have yet. Learning to love yourself as you are now because it is just as important as loving yourself when you feel you are perfect.

Lucille Ball once said you must “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world”. You must learn to be comfortable with who you really are; express yourself, let your voice be heard, play, sing, do whatever you wish. You shouldn’t be afraid of what others think of you, they too, most likely feel the same way you do and want to express themselves just as much as you, but are afraid to do so. Learning to love yourself  is the only way you can truly move forward in life.

I truly hope you manifest everything you desire.

Love & Relationships, Tarot & Soulmates

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

After my previous post about the Tetragrammaton the sacred word which represents the divine power as we understand it, the next logical step is to focus on the very thing that underpins everything we do, The power of love. Many times during a reading a combination of cards such as those shown above, various cups cards, The Empress & of course The Lovers will leave me in no doubt that the person in front of me is searching for love.

Searching For True Love, The Perfect Soul Mate.

Just about everyone on this planet wants to be in love and enjoy the companionship that comes with it. While the vast majority of us will experience the pleasures that love can bring, it is important to understand that love means many different things to many different people. To some, the thought of experiencing love is nothing more than enjoying the rewards of some fleeting temptation. Or appreciating some agreeable companionship, that puts a little warmth into the cold dark nights of winter. Most of us however, are looking for the signs of true love. My most popular free Tarot readings are my Relationship Tarot, & my animated version, my ten card talking Relationship Tarot reading. We all eventually seek much more than satisfying temporary desires. How to find true love is probably the question I am asked the most. The pursuit of true love is what we should aspire to. The discovery of a true soul mate is uppermost in our mind. We are looking for the perfect someone, who can captivate us heart and soul, usually I find this very person is outside of our usual 'type' & can often appear to competely surprise us.

Some though can be left wondering what true love really is. Not everyone will come across it. At least not soon enough before their desire for companionship overshadows the search for soulful love. They will settle for less and fall into a relationship. Sure, romance may blossom and go on to evolve into a lasting bond that will grow in strength, as each partner slowly develops more and more reliance upon the other. In many ways, it can be at this very point that many think they have actually achieved what they first desired. They think they have found their true love, their soulmate, and just did not realize the fact at the start of the relationship. Many will go on to enjoy a full and satisfying partnership. The question will always remain, have they really found their true love? .

There are quite a few people who end up discovering their true love, while they are already in a comfortable relationship. Often left with the agonizing decision on whether or not to risk everything they already have and much of what they have achieved in life, for the chance of going after what could be true love, this is often a risk too difficult for many to take, leading to lifelong regrets. Those are the ones left wondering what would have been. Although, they at least have the satisfaction of feeling they have the next best thing. Of course, others already in a relationship, will jump in head first at the very thought of finally having discovered their true soul mate. While a few of those people just may have got it right, the vast majority soon realize the mistake they have made.

Many will say all you need is love, I wholeheartedly agree, more & more I realise that love is the force that creates everything has the potential to release our true potential.

I truly hope you manifest everything you desire.

Tarot – The Tetragrammaton – The Sacred Name

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

The Tarot deck is a perfect example of the power of symbols, man has been using symbols since before recognised speech to represent meaning & document and understand his environment. I have always been fascinated by symbolism & talismans, magical formulas and esoteric meanings. Recently I have noticed people are asking me about other forms of focus, most frequently chants & also formulas hidden in the Tarot, especially the sacred word. Whenever I find myself in a challenging or stressful environment I mentally run through a sequence that has served me well over the years. I first discovered chants many years ago when I did a course in the mindfulness of breathing. This technique is designed to filter out all distractions & enable you to focus on whatever it is that important in that specific moment. I have a page on my site that illustrates the Tibetan Buddhist chant or mantra OM MANI PADME HUM the Dalai Lama’s definition of which is the path that symbolises “the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha”. The second mantra I employ is NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO, which the 13th Century Japanese priest called the realisation of the Lotus Sutra, or greatest teaching of the first recorded buddha. However, the most powerful of my daily routines is I believe, the sacred word Yod – He – Vau – He.

The Sacred Word – The Tetragrammaton

While I go about my day merrily chanting in my head or occasionally out loud, I also mentally invoke Yod – He – Vau – He, The sacred hebrew word of Kabbalah that corresponds to the four suits of Tarot, the four elements and has been studied by all of the adepts & related to all mystery systems. This formula, the Tetragrammaton, representing the divine & the unrepresentable, has many correspondences to the Major Arcana in Tarot & is said to release all knowledge to those who can learn to correctly pronounce its name.

In the ancient script Tarot of the bohemians by Papus, the many correlations of the sacred word are explored for example this excerpt relating to numbers : “A number is attributed to each letter of the Hebrew alphabet. We must look at those which relate to the letters we are now considering.
‎י Yod = 10
‎ה he = 5
‎ו vau = 6
‎ה he = 5
The total numerical value of the word יהוה is therefore 10 + 5 + 6 + 5 = 26.”

For more on the power of numbers visit my Numerology page.

The almost endless links of these magical symbols never cease to fascinate me, I have used the central diagram of kabbalah for many years, notably in my Tree of Life Tarot spreads which are available as a static Tarot reading or in an animated talking Tarot reading. Free spoken Tarot reading

I am re-reading The Tarot of the Bohemians again as I am rediscovering the relationship between the hebrew letters as I travel through the Tarot deck & add a page for each card to the new format of my site. It is not an easy read, but fascinating & highly recommended for anyone interested in the hidden mysteries of The Tarot. To study the symbolism of the Tarot & unravel the secret language of the initiates is an exciting journey that unlocks endless levels of understanding. Though the Tarot appears in it’s simplest form as a pack of cards, it is an always changing story that can ignite the intuition of those who come under it’s spell.

Moldavite the stone of transformation & the Star in Tarot

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants
Moldavite – Total transformation

I am recently back from a jaunt to Glastonbury where I was visiting my
mother. I always feel an instant connection to the magical atmosphere, like logging on to a spiritual w-fi. I always try and scout around to find the best Glastonbury psychic There is no doubt that there are many special energies
operating on the isle of Avalon. I stayed at the fabulous George &
Pilgrim hotel, though was again disappointed not to encounter any
ghosts. There are an awful lot of spiritual shops & many
practitioners, this time I decided that I wanted to buy something that
I could wear on my person to remind me of Glastonbury & began to
trawl around the alleys & courtyards in search of a special piece.
This where my incredible encounter with Moldavite began. I followed the
advice of several Crystal therapists & decided to acquire the piece
that ‘spoke’ to me. So after a lunch with my sister who many years ago
introduced me to the Tarot in Glastonbury,
I found myself literally hypnotised by a silver ring with a large
green, glass-like pitted stone. I purchased it without thinking &
whilst showing it off proudly, was told buy a crystal expert that
Moldavite should come with a warning. Apparently this stone is an
extraterrestrial cosmic gem that arrived in Moldovia as an asteroid
around 14,000,000 years ago. The jokes were that the only more powerful
stone was Kryptonite, (which is of course fictional) & I should be
extremely careful as Moldavite is the stone of transformation &
only arrives in your life when major changes need to be initiated.
Well, I have never really been very susceptible to the vibrational
energy of crystals, however, this was soon to change with my new
companion. I climbed Glastonbury Tor as I always do, & whilst up
there became extremely dis-orientated & dizzy, I had physical
sensations of heat & on a couple of occasions thought I was going
to pass out. That evening I had one of the best curries I have ever had
& slept like a baby. The next day I had many incredible
conversations with my mother about pivotal points in her life & we
parted with me feeling like there was something definitely changing in
my life. Since then on my return to London things have got even
stranger, my intuition has been boosted & even when travelling on
public transport I found it hard to ‘close down’. Apparently Moldavite
is renowned for accelerating spiritual development & opening the
3rd eye.
My dreams have become incredibly cinematic,  I have definitely found
that I have something resonating with me at a very deep level. Things
that need to be changed have become immediately apparent & I have
found new ways of diffusing situations or responding to things that
previously been challenging. Material things have also quickly
materialised, a totally unexpected & not unsubstantial windfall arrived &
I was contacted by a magazine who wish to do a story about my life
& the development of my Tarot cards.
In short this has been an incredibly eye opening fast track in to the
world of crystal energy. I have been advised to remove the ring as
maybe it is too powerful for me at this time in my development. This is
something as I am not about to do as I am really enjoying the rapid
change & exciting development that I am accrediting to the arrival
of my green friend. If you are looking for an adventure & think you
can handle it, seek out some Moldavite, but be prepared for some sudden
changes !. I have just discovered that this stone corresponds to The
Star tarot card in the Major Arcana
, The Daughter of the Firmament,
Dweller between the Waters.

The meaning of the Star is Inspiration, Enlightenment, Faith,
Revelation, Foresight, Excitement, Acceptance, Peace & Confidence,
so if this ring encourages those qualities then bring it on !.
To your success !

London Clairvoyant Tarot & Psychic readings

New service – The email psychic reading.

New email Psychic reading service & developing intuition

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

New service – The email psychic reading.

Developing the intuition
When you begin to focus your intuition & develop your rapport with those who come to you for a psychic reading, you have to begin to trust your senses, release your fears & really work on listening to the inner voice.

The most difficult part of beginning to give Tarot readings is to see beyond the painted images & see the real issues that are surrounding the questioner. Sometimes it is a struggle & you will have to work hard to show that what the person has been experiencing may not actually be the real reality.
Many times I have given readings to people who want to re-kindle a broken relationship, for example, & thought “Why do you want to go back to something that really didn’t bring you happiness?.” Sometimes people can not “see for looking” & the journey you take with them through their reading should allow them to see their existence from a different perspective, hopefully be able to see an alternative route that could lead them to a happier outcome.
In Buddhism it is often called ‘the thousand things’, all of the myriad distractions that bombard our senses & stop us from seeing the truth in everyday situations.

We must escape from these distractions to avoid becoming trapped in repetitive patterns that stops us from revealing our true potential, the light that will reveal our authentic persona & allows us to truly live the life we are meant to.

It is also crucial to realise that everyone who we interact with has been presented to us so that we can learn a specific lesson. We naturally focus selfishly on ourselves, if we can but really see the individuals that we encounter on a daily basis, we then naturally start to uncover the path that will eventually lead us to our personal happiness.

When we begin to tune in to other people & take the focus off of ourselves, then we begin to transcend the five senses & intuition begins to reveal things just outside of our usual consciousness.

The more we develop our inner light, the more our readings begin to reveal more through the forces of rapport & intuition. We begin to rely less on the ‘tools’, such as Tarot cards & begin to be able to have a powerful effect on all those who we encounter.

Next time You are giving a reading try & connect to your intuition & try & rely less on the tools or standardised meanings. You May be surprised.

London Clairvoyant Tarot & Psychic readings

Tarot – Intuition & developing the Tarot reading

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Hi There, Tarot is my life's work & I am proud of my deck & research. Many people ask me how to move their interest to the next level, here are some hints based on my earliest experiences.

How to develop your Tarot reading technique – The minors the majors & the court cards in a Tarot spread

Tarot readings can provide direction on any situation. Sometimes people who come to you to consult the cards will present a direct question, in this situation you can use a 'significator' ( a card that is relevant to the question being asked, for example if someone has romantic or partnership questions then The Lovers or the Two of Cups could be drawn ).

What to do if the questioner offers no specific question or simply wants a general reading, where then do you start ?

Most people are overwhelmed when they first begin to give Tarot readings themselves. Remember Tarot is only a tool, each key can represent different life experiences & only becomes relevant when the image begins to spark your intuition. When beginning each reading the minor arcana or lesser secrets will usually reveal the overall concerns of the questioner. If the questioner doesn't present an actual question, which would prompt you to choose a 'significator' card. Then you should try & pick up an impression by the story building with the minors that appear in the spread.

Each suit has a correspondence to different areas of a persons life. For example, if you see a prevalence of Cups cards in a reading, then it is fair to say that there would be emotional concerns surrounding the questioner. Pentacles often refer to matters of finance. Wands very often refer to a period of creativity, especially around new projects. Should there be a concentration of Swords cards then a powerful period of challenge requiring a great deal of thought is indicated before a solution can be reached.

From a numerological point of view each card within each suit represents how developed the situation is. The Aces are the spark, the initiation of a development. As we get closer to the Ten in each suit then we are heading towards the completion of events.

When Court cards appear in the reading you can interpret their involvement at a very basic level by relating the following examples. The Pages, younger people who will have influence. Knights, dynamic people who will affect the outcome. The Queens, women who will reveal something that is relevant. The Kings, men who will bring something to bear on how the situation develops. As your understanding of Tarot develops, by using these general overviews & layering on the specific meaning for each court card, you will be amazed at how quickly your abilities develop. Finally when everything drops in to place & your intuition is fired by the images on the cards, your Tarot readings will move to an entirely different level. You will begin to pick up on scenarios that are not represented in your deck & develop a very strong rapport with whoever comes to you for a reading.

The Major Arcana, or greatest secrets are the 'Big guns' of The Tarot experience. The Lovers, The Magician, The World. Each one of these powerful archetypes relates to a major life event, a paradigm shift in a person's reality. Should more than one Major key appear in a persons reading, then great changes await. This is a much more frequent occurrence than you may at first think. Personally I feel that it is because people often wait to consult me for a reading until they feel that changes are set to occur. Each Major key has far reaching significance & as such should be treated with respect. Often the questioner will have a subliminal reaction to the Major cards, this is why you should be familiar with these archetypes before you introduce them in to your readings. It is crucially important that you are comfortable around the cards that are perceived as 'scary'. Death for example does not signify physical Death, however due to the way Tarot has been represented Death, the Devil & any of the 'darker' cards can cause an unexpected reaction in the questioner that must be well managed by the reader. Always remember it is your responsibility to send the questioner away feeling empowered & any misinterpretation can leave dangerous impressions in the mind of the sitter.

I hope this post inspires you to try a different approach in your readings.

Celtic Cross – Tarot reading online

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

The Celtic Cross  http://www.paulomara.com/tarot/

My most popular spread is known as the Celtic Cross, and is the most well known, and most used spread of them all.

A Significator card is chosen, and placed on the table first, face up. The cards are then thoroughly shuffled by you, before handing them to the questioner to be shuffled further.

The cards are then placed face up in the following order :

The Significator is already face up on the table. The first card is placed directly on top of the Significator. The next card is placed crosswise on top of the first. The third is placed above these, and the is fourth placed below.

The first two cards represent the questioners emotions & intentions, and are read first. The third and fourth Tarot cards are the influences that affect these emotions, and are the next to be read.

The fifth card is placed to the left of the others, and is represents past influences.

The sixth card is the influence for the future, and is placed to the right of the others. After this card is read, you may ask the questioner whether this particular influence is present in their life yet.

The final four cards are place to the extreme right of the others in a vertical line. They are read from the bottom to the top.

An example of a Celtic Spread :

A quick overview of initial impressions that may arise :

“With the first four cards all being Major Arcana, I get the impression that your present emotions are being ruled by outside influences.

The first card being the Fool reversed, represents you, thinking of a new start. This could possibly travel, or a job, certainly a change of some kind. The first impression being that this change could possibly have an element of risk or excitement.

The Devil indicates that indeed an outside influence has been the temptation for this change, and could also have an obsessional element.

The third and fourth cards (Judgement and Wheel of Fortune), indicate there has been some serious thought put into this development, which has more than likely been brought about by a change of luck, or a possible improvement in finances. Therefore the tentative venture may not be as risky as my first impressions indicated.

The fifth card (Strength reversed) is the past influence, indicating that there has been a period of negative thinking holding you back. Possibly, a feeling of inadequacy regarding making future plans or abilities. It is apparent that some kind of positive change is imminent, though some work regarding self worth will be necessary to bring about a new approach to emotional thinking.

The sixth card (seven of Wands reversed) is the dominant factor representing the near future. Future plans should be dealt with methodically, make a list. A mistake at this point, or misinterpretation of advice could cause delay. You must stand your ground.

After a short period of consideration, and some minor changes have been made, a decision will be arrived at, or an opportunity will be presented to you, and positive changes ,will occur (signified by the seventh card, Death), bringing an end to a certain concern. With this will come a certain freedom.

The eighth card (ten of Pentacles) indicates that the success of this change is the result of accumulative past efforts, and it will be felt that this change should have been made long ago.

The Magician indicates that creative ideas will emerge, and will bring the beginning of a bright new future. You have the ability to literally create your ideal future now.

The tenth card (seven of Swords reversed), tells that all will be well in the future, and perseverance will ensure that that the ball keeps rolling. However emotional baggage & burdens that have been weighing you down must now be completely released.”

Further notes on the Celtic Cross

This reading is perfect for a general overview. No specific questions need to be asked by the questioner

When a specific question is directly asked, the significator card can be one that represents the question. With a question of romance, one of the Cup cards may be used, and finances may be represented by one of the Pentacle cards etc. The entire reading may then be based on the question.

Time zones have not be mentioned in respect to this reading, as this interpretation will differ from one reader to the other. The future cards in the Celtic Cross layout, represent approximately six to eight weeks. Go with your own instincts and intuition, you will be surprised by your accuracy. Once you get the ‘feel’ of the cards, you will be able to work out your own time factors.

Another method to predict future influences, is to place the significator card on the table, and after the questioner has shuffled the cards, lay twelve cards around the significator in a circle, rather like a clock, either face up or face down. Each of these cards will represent a month.

The card at the one o’clock position can represent January, two o’clock February, and so on. Locate the card that represents the present month, and read the one following. Keep going around the circle clockwise, reading each card in turn. This will give a general forecast for the following twelve months.

There is no hard and fast rule for reading the Tarot. You will develop your own style and method as you gain experience, remember this experience is based on your intuitive impressions from a deck of painted cards. You hold great responsibility in what is said to the questioner & an ethical code is imperative. Under no circumstances discuss medical or legal implications. If these questions are raised always point the questioner in the direction of the relevant professional body.

Tarot in Psychic Readings – The Regal Arch Spread

The Regal Arch Tarot spread is a simple nine card layout, which unsurprisingly, takes the shape of an arch. This Tarot spread is usually used for a quick general reading when time is limited.

It isn't necessary to use a Significator for this spread. The questioner shuffles the cards until she feels comfortable that they are well mixed. Using their left hand, the cards are cut into three separate piles. They are then gathered up into a single packet in any order.

This is my preferred method of cutting the Tarot deck, and I  use it almost always for all of the Tarot spreads I use regularly.

The Tarot cards are taken back by the reader and laid face down in the following order forming the arch:

The first three cards represent the past, the second three (4 5, and 6) signify the present, and the final three, the possible future outcome. If a theme for the reading is required, the fifth card can be placed face up. This being the significator card, will then represent the focus of the layout, and can be the influence for the reading. It is not necessary to use the significator card in this way, although if it is not clear if the sitter has any particular questions, it can reveal underlying influences.

The usual method for this spread is to read card number one first, then number two, and so on until the reading is complete. If, when turning the first card over, you do not receive an impression, turn the next two cards over simultaneously, you will then feel a pattern emerge. Reading the cards in blocks of three, will make it a lot easier for you, especially if you are just learning to trust your intuition.

From the first three cards, you should get an impression of the questioners situation & recent past. You should reveal the story shown on the cards, to confirm your thoughts, that you are on the right track. Cards four, five and six will represent the present situation. When you come to card number five, mention this as being the significator and slide it forward. Next, read the final three Tarot cards, the possible influence for the future.

Example Tarot Regal Arch reading

Quick interpretation :
“There has been some unexpected news or good fortune in the recent past, and possibly the loss of faith in an acquaintance, in your circle perhaps (6 Wands reversed). This has brought about a paradigm shift in your thoughts, along with some new found faith in your intuition (Strength).

Some thoughts or even plans for future travel with someone close have more than likely been made (6 Swords). There also appears to have been some recent news of, or from, an old friend ( Knight of Cups reversed).

The fifth card, which is the key card,, represents present emotions, and indicates there may be some concern whether or not there will be an improvement in finances linked to following your dream, plus if a positive change will take place in regard to a certain relationship (King of Wands).

This change may have already- begun to manifest (Ten Swords reversed), but be on the alert for some unfounded gossip.

There will be a period when things will seem to come to a standstill, this will be a a good time for relaxation, spiritual focus, and to plan ahead.  (Four of Swords reversed),

A decision will be made, but not before some careful consideration and protracted weighing up of the situation (Two of Pentacles reversed).

The outcome is very good indeed for everyone concerned. Plans and decisions will all work out to your best advantage (Ace Cups).” After the reading is where I would layer on my intuitive impressions. This Spread is great for a quick focused Tarot experience.

To your success x Paul

Tarot Readings – Psychic Readings – Discovering your passion

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

The power of images ! I mentioned this photograph to my sister just the other day. Though she had forgotten it, I could actually see it in my minds eye & am so happy it still exists. It is a photograph of me giving readings at a party looking every inch the Irish Gypsy !. We thought it had been lost in the mists of time. Then whilst my sis was sorting some old Christmas cards, what should flutter to the ground ?. The mysterious black cat was called Chan, half siamese, she certainly used all of her 9 lives to the full !. The crystal ball belonged to my mother & I have recently re-acquired it, it's power is again energising our home.

The period of my life represented by this photograph, some 30+ years ago, corresponded to me finally discovering my passion, my purpose, my raison d'être if you will. In retrospect I should not have been unleashed at that party !, I had recently been gifted my first Tarot & was just firing impressions that I was receiving. I remember telling one lady that a greenhouse was significant, ( it transpired that an event had occurred in a greenhouse that wasn't exactly in keeping with the lighthearted atmosphere of the party). I told one gentleman that he drove a fire engine, the sirens literally ringing in my ears. He did not, but he did work on a council department that had recently been given responsibility for the fire department. I asked another gentleman to select a card & when he drew the Devil card I started describing his dark side that he kept well hidden. His wife agreed wholeheartedly, unfortunately this guy's quite committed christian sensibilities were challenged & my readings were swiftly curtailed by our host.
After that party, I remember feeling elated, that I had discovered, finally, something that I really enjoyed. Interacting with people & giving readings was something I knew I was destined to do for the rest of my life.

Responsibility & encouragement
Now many years later, & after many 1,000s of readings I still have unbridled enthusiasm for giving readings. However, I now realise the responsibility involved in performing a reading. Though I was enthusiastic & excited to be entertaining the guests, I hadn't yet worked out the dynamics of an empowering experience for my sitter.
Yesterday I was giving a reading for a lady & showed her this fabulous photo that had just arrived in the post. As the reading progressed I saw that what I was doing was completely different to how the boy on the photograph would have approached the situation. The card that kept re-appearing was the Eight of Cups, The Lord of Abandoned Success. Although this Lady talked continuously of how happy she was, how important her very corporate job was, how fulfilled she was, I sensed that maybe this was simply not the case. In this card, a figure turns from Eight stacked Cups. Behind the Cups a river needs to be crossed, the moon pulls at the emotions. As I discussed the imagery of the card with this lovely lady a strange transition occurred. She told me that she had indeed reached an impasse & realised that the job that absorbed most of her life had recently, & quite rapidly, lost all meaning. She wanted to follow her heart & carve out a more fulfilling career using her artistic creativity. She had discussed this with her partner & he was completely in agreement, full of encouragement & even said that he couldn't wait to get the person he loved back, not the corporate robot who had recently invaded her body !.

The purpose of this post is this, in an ideal world, in order to feel fulfilled & to be successful. An individual needs to marry their drive, their passion, to every aspect of their existence. Sometimes they just need a little push to realise what it is that will finally make them happy.

Are you living your life, have you discovered what it is that makes you feel alive, excited ?.
When we discover what it is that drives us, we should do everything we can to make that our focus.

I wish you only success,

Paul x

Tarot, Creating Your story with the Major Arcana

O'Mara Tarot & Clairvoyants

Since my first encounter with Tarot, the infinite stories contained in
the combination of this most inspirational book with no pages has fired
my imagination.

The most important story contained in this magical oracle is the unique
journey that unfolds for every person who I’m privileged to read for.
Wherever they are on their path, whatever situations they are facing,
it is always possible for the questioner to begin to create a new
story. Every one who has a Tarot reading can begin to release the past,
re-imagine their future, envisage different opportunities that they may
not have previously considered.

I have detailed many times the moment I was gifted my first Tarot deck,
& how that moment changed my life forever. How as the images danced
before me, I began to absorb the subliminal symbols. Watched as endless
combinations of narratives appeared, each card beginning to reveal
it’s secrets and meanings.

I still get many emails asking about the meanings of Tarot. The truth
is as a good intuitive, once you have gone beyond the textbook
interpretations, it is the messages that begin to arise through your
subconscious that will develop your relationship with your cards &
hopefully spark a lifelong fascination.

Here are a list of the Greater Secrets or Major Arcana of my deck, each
link will take you to a page about the featured Tarot card. Soon I hope
to embark on my second deck, using imagery further removed from the
traditional symbols. For now, I hope you enjoy the cards & that
your inspiration is fired, I found that by creating my own deck the
cards really began to speak to me, I hope they speak to you …
