Learn Lucid Dreaming

A lucid dream is simply a dream in which the dreamer is consciously aware of dreaming, and lucid dreaming is a skill that can be learned. I bet you have almost taken the reins of your dreams before but felt a little apprehensive. The advantages of learning to lucidly dream are many. An obvious one is that nightmares can be redirected. I was taught this technique by a hypnotherapy friend after an apartment I was living in was infested with scorpions, I didn’t sleep for weeks because of nightmares, though after I had been trained to take control it was not only relieving, more like enlightening!.Lucid dreaming can also provide a pathway to and method of interaction with the subconscious, the subconscious is what really creates your reality, so getting ‘under the hood’ can fast track many of your aspirations. Many people simply find that it’s also just a lot of fun to be the director of their own dreams. As the director of your own dreams you can figure out some of your ‘waking activity’ whilst asleep. I have used this technique to design my Horoscopes & Astrology Charts for 2014 & am very pleased with the results.

Becoming Aware

There are a number of techniques for developing your ability in this way. Generally, they involve becoming more aware of one’s dreams and inner thoughts. I wholeheartedly recommend keeping a dream journal, your dreams are your subconscious mind trying to process your experience. As soon as you wake up in the morning, write down the dreams that you can remember. If you’re having trouble remembering your dreams, try consciously programming your mind to allow you to remember any significant dream on awakening. A dream journal will help you to see patterns in your dreams and triggers that you’ll use to switch over to lucidity while you’re dreaming.

Reality Checks

Reality checks are things you do regularly while you are awake that will train you to do the same while you are asleep to alert yourself to the fact that you’re dreaming. You should try to do several reality checks through the course of a day. The simplest reality check is to ask yourself mentally if you feel you are dreaming during the night whether you are awake or asleep. There are a number of other reality checks you can practice, however.

While Dreaming

It may take a few days or a few weeks, but once you’ve become aware of your dreams and trained yourself to recognise when you are dreaming, you will begin dreaming lucidly. If you are still having trouble, don’t worry, it is something that will appear as the need arises. If you wake in the night, thinking about the last dream you remember and how you would like to dream to proceed once you’re asleep again can even be achieved. Some people find it’s easier to begin lucid dreaming during afternoon naps.

Lucid dreams are recognised by science as a real phenomenon, and there are a number of books with extensive information about how to make the most of lucid dreaming. By starting with the above techniques, you will find yourself leading a more mindful life while sleeping and awake.

I have recently had a major operation, I don’t sleep much at the moment. However when I do I try & ‘dream for tomorrow’. I see myself getting better every day, performing my exercises & improving every day. Needless to say each day I awake ‘pre-programmed’ to achieve what has already ( as far as I’m concerned )

What do you want to Achieve ?

Whatever you want to achieve, I truly believe that thoughts become your reality. If you can, next time you are ‘aware you are dreaming’, take control & direct your consciousness  towards what you want to achieve.

I truly hope you manifest Your dreams this year !
